The composition is prepared from, by mass, 1%-100% of polyamino acid, 0%-90% of an adhesive auxiliary and 0%-90% of crosslinking agent; polyamino acid comprises linear polyamino acid (I) and branching polyamino acid (II) and one or more of crosslinking structures composed of one or two of linear polyamino acid (I) and branching polyamino acid (II). The invention further provides the preparing method of the polyamino acid composition. The invention further provides the application of the polyamino acid composition as an adhesive. The polyamino acid composition is used as the adhesive, has good adhesive performance for glass, plastic, metal, rubber, battens, sawdust and the like, is big in adhesive strength, does not have harmful substance of toluene, formaldehyde and the like, and is good in environmental friendliness.
