Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: taking aqueous distillate flowing out of an oil-water separator of a sand ginger oil extraction tank or aqueous distillate collected after redistilling brown-yellow turbid waste liquid in the extraction tank, and separating out a mixture of trans-ethyl p-methoxycinnamate and cis-ethyl p-methoxycinnamate in the aqueous distillate by adding sodium chloride or potassium chloride; adding an organic solvent for extraction, and distilling the organic solvent under reduced pressure to obtain brown-yellow oily liquid; freezing the brown-yellow oily liquid; separating out and crystallizing; and rapidly filtering to obtain a mixture of trans-ethyl p-methoxycinnamate and cis-ethyl p-methoxycinnamate. The mixture has antibacterial activity on aspergillus niger, aspergillus flavus and penicillium citrinum, has a scavenging effect on DPPH.free radical and ABTS+.free radicals, has suitable fragrance and can serve as the food preservative.
