The method comprises the following steps: mixing sulfur-containing waste liquid generated by ammonia process (HPF process) gas desulfurization, and filtering elemental sulfur by using a filter press to obtain first sulfur slurry and filtered clear liquid; evaporating and concentrating the filtered desulfurization clear liquid into second sulfur slurry, mixing the first sulfur slurry and the second sulfur slurry of the sulfur slurry into thick slurry, and sending the thick slurry to a drying section; and in the drying section, taking inert gas as a medium in a closed circulating drying mode, and treating thick sulfur slurry to obtain crude sulfur powder.
