This invention belongs to the field of rubber
product testing technology, and discloses a method and device for detecting leaks and
burst pressure of annular pure rubber airbags. The method includes: preparing testing fixtures comprising nylon wrapping fabric, a pressure gauge,
copper tubing, connectors, industrial tape, and a
protective barrier; spirally wrapping the nylon wrapping fabric around the surface of the annular pure rubber
airbag and fixing it; connecting the
airbag to an air source and inflating it in stages; after the first stage of inflation, spraying
soap solution and allowing it to stand, and identifying leaks by observing continuous
soap bubbles; continuing to test the
burst pressure of airbags that pass the
leak detection until the
airbag bursts or the measured pressure reaches 1.2 times the designed
burst pressure. The testing device includes a flexible wrapping component, a fixing component, a pressurization connection component, a
pressure monitoring component, and a
protective barrier component. This invention improves the convenience, safety, and accuracy of
leak detection and burst pressure assessment of annular pure rubber airbags.
