This invention provides a gene for Brassica napus resistant to the sulfonylurea herbicide bensulfuron-methyl, encoding the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:2, exhibiting resistance to the sulfonylurea herbicide bensulfuron-methyl. Preferably, the nucleotide sequence of the Brassica napus resistant gene to bensulfuron-methyl is shown in SEQ ID NO:1.
