Abstract

The invention provides application of surfactant modified goethite in removal of microcystis aeruginosa. A surfactant includes cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, cetyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride or octadecyltrimethyl bromide ammonium. Specifically, the surfactant is dissolved in water, the goethite is added to a dissolving solution, stirring and centrifuging are conducted, a supernatant is discarded, lyophilizing is conducted, and grinding is conducted to prepare the surfactant modified goethite. According to the application, in the process of removing the microcystis aeruginosa, a positively charged carbon chain can net-trap and bind negatively charged algae cells, an alkyl chain penetrates algal cell membranes to change the integrity of a phospholipid bilayer, membrane rupturing is caused, a reaction with proteins and nucleic acids in algae is conducted, a bridge between cellulose molecules is relaxed, or protein synthesis is restrained. The goethiteproduces strong oxidative free radicals under the action of lights to attack the algae cells, causes the exudation of organic matters in the algae cells and restrains the growth of the algae cells.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a surfactant-modified goethite, which is applied to remove Microcystis aeruginosa, and belongs to the technical field of water pollution control. Background technique [0002] Cyanobacterial blooms are now occurring more and more frequently in many countries and have become a global environmental problem. The overgrowth of cyanobacteria makes the water color, odor and toxins harmful to humans, animals and aquatic life, and the overgrowth of algae must be controlled in situ. Microcystis aeruginosa is a well-known algal species that causes cyanobacterial blooms in freshwater lakes and reservoirs worldwide. Some of the common treatment methods are chemical algaecides, clay flocculation, ultrasonic irradiation, large aquatic plants, biotechnology and ultraviolet irradiation. [0003] Among them, clay minerals, as an effective, economical and environmentally friendly material, have been widely concerned and applied to the control ...
