2 results about "Cetane Improver" patented technology

A Cetane Improver [′sē‚tān im′prüv·ər] is a chemical which has the effect of increasing a diesel fuel's Cetane number. A few examples are nitrates, nitroalkanes, nitrocarbonates and peroxides. One of the main Cetane Improver additives manufactured today is 2-ethylhexyl nitrate (CAS n°: 27247-96-7) which starts to decompose at 130 °C. 2-ethylhexyl nitrate is the result of the reaction of 2-ethylhexanol and nitric acid.

Environment-friendly and energy-saving diesel engine clean fuel

The application discloses an environment-friendly and energy-saving diesel engine clean fuel, and particularly relates to the technical field of clean fuel. The environment-friendly and energy-saving diesel engine clean fuel is prepared from an additive and kerosene in a mass ratio of 1:(300-430).The additive comprises the following raw materials in parts by mass: a cetane improver 40-62 parts, an anti-knock agent 5-10 parts, an anti-corrosion agent 15-30 parts, dimethyl silicone oil 8-10 parts, and a cleaning agent 3-6 parts. The additive is mixed with kerosene, the stability of the fuel is further improved, the utilization rate of the fuel is improved, so that the prepared clean fuel can be effectively combusted in use, and environmental pollutants generated in the combustion process are reduced.
