68 results about "Vibrating alert" patented technology

A vibrating alert is a feature of communications devices to notify the user of an incoming connection or message. It is particularly common on mobile phones and pagers and usually supplements the ring tone. Most 21st-century mobile phones are fitted with a vibrating alert, as are smartwatches.

Intersection vehicle collision avoidance system

The present invention discloses a system that alerts the operator of a vehicle, when operator is not in compliance with an intersection signal condition, where the intersection traffic signal conditions does not permit driver of vehicles to cross the intersection. The system comprises of traffic light or stop sign RF transmitter or transceiver units, and plurality of vehicles equipped with vehicle collision avoidance device containing RF transceivers to receive signals from the intersection signal transmitter units, the vehicle collision avoidance device is equipped with vehicle speed comparator CPU and vehicle travel direction sensing circuitry using a compass or GPS receiver to determine vehicle travel direction and monitor vehicle speed. A beeper, LED or vibrator is incorporated for warning the driver. If a vehicle operator becomes none responsive to maintain vehicle speed in compliances with the traffic signal light condition, the vehicle collision avoidance device alerts the driver with audio visual and vibrating alarm signals for the driver to slow down the vehicle to stop. If within a determined time the driver does not comply, the vehicle collision avoidance device generates a secondary audio and visual signals to alert pedestrians, and transmits RF signals to other vehicles equipped with collision avoidance devise for the driver(s) located at that intersection take necessary measures to avoid an intersection collision.

Devices for locating/keeping track of objects, animals or persons

Devices for enabling a user to locate an object, animal or person or reminding the user of the location of an object, animal or person. In a non-transmitter / receiver embodiment, the device includes at least one alert mechanism which is connected to a digital clock or other timer and microprocessor which times transmission of alert signals emitted from the alert mechanism or mechanisms. The operational components of the device may be contained in a housing which is attached to the object, animal or person to be located. In a remote transmitter / receiver embodiment, the device includes a transmitter which transmits activation signals at preset times to activate an alert feature of a paired remote receiver which is provided on the object, animal or person to be located or tracked. The transmitter may include an on-command button for manual transmission of the activation signals to the receiver. The receiver may have a visible alert mode in combination with a selected audible or vibratory alert mode. In an on-board transmitter / receiver embodiment, the device includes a transmitter which is housed together with a receiver in a single unit. In that case, the transmitter of one unit can transmit preset timed activation signals to the receiver of a different unit which is placed on the object, animal or person. Alternatively, the transmitter of one unit can transmit preset timed activation signals to the receiver of the same unit placed on the object, animal or person.

Item Locator with Distance Determining Capabilities

Disclosed is an item locator that utilizes a transmitter and a receiver. The receiver is attached to an item that may become lost or misplaced, and a signal is sent from the transmitter to the receiver, causing the receiver to emit an audible, visual, and vibratory alert when activated. A receiver is placed on a wallet, cell phone or other frequently misplaced item. The alarms appeal to multiple senses, allowing an individual to rely on their strongest and sharpest senses to locate the items or choose a preferred method. In addition, the receiver includes a range measuring means for providing the distance between the transmitter and the misplaced item. The range measuring means preferably functions off of a sent radio signal and a received signal from the receiver attached to the misplaced item, wherein the time delay provides a distance measurement thereto.

Offender presence warning system

Offender presence warning system comprises of;a GPS tracking device having a tamper detection strap used for attaching the device to an offender limb, containing a GPS receiver to receive GPS coordination signals from orbiting satellites and a cellular or satellite modem to establish communication with a monitoring station, a processor and an RF transceiver designed to transmit at time interval uniquely coded RF signal. And a victim carry on RF transceiver device which is designed to receive offender tracking device transmitted signals when the offender is located within near proximity of a victim, the victim carry on device processor in response to received RF transmitted signals from offender GPS tracking device, the victim warning device processor generates an audio / visual and or vibrating warning alarm signal(s) to alert the victim the presence of an offender near by, and the victim warning device automatically transmits a uniquely coded RF signal to the offender tracking device, which upon receipt of the signal generates audio and or vibrating alarm signal to warn the offender being to close to the victim and allow offender to move away from the victim, If the offender becomes non responsive to received warning signal(s), at a pre-determine time the offender GPS tracking device transmits a violation signal to a monitoring station containing information to both the offender unit ID, and to the victim unit ID along with GPS location information of offender.

Vibration alert method and monitor system

Disclosed herein are child monitor systems and methods in which a device includes a receiver that receives a wireless signal including audio data indicative of sounds captured at a remote location. The receiver includes a demodulator to derive a digital data stream from the wireless signal. The device further includes a processor coupled to the receiver to obtain the digital data stream and configured to analyze the digital data stream to determine whether to initiate a vibration alert. In some cases, a transmitter device includes a processor configured to generate a vibration alert command based on an analysis of the digital audio data and for incorporation in the wireless signal.
