A first network entity may obtain one or more request messages for collecting data reports associated with one or more user equipment (UEs). The first network entity may output a first message requesting that a second network entity provide the data reports associated with the one or more UEs after the data reports are collected. The first network entity may output, via the user plane and to the one or more UEs, a second message including data collection information (e.g., a data collection configuration, information associated with autonomous data collection) for collecting the data reports from the one or more UEs. The first network entity may obtain, from the second network entity, reporting messages including the data reports, where the data reports may be sent from the one or more UEs to the second network entity via the user plane.
