A water treatment tank for use with water purification apparatus including an ultra-violet lamp within an encapsulating sleeve onto which incoming water is directed to provide a thin laminar flow about the bulb. The lower compartment has cooling coils about the walls for cooling the water therein relative to the water in the upper compartment. A surrounding sleeve may be located intermediate the encapsulating sleeve and an outer vessel in the tank. A leak detector is located in the encapsulating sleeve. The leak detector and outer vessel are believed to provide safety to users in the event of internal breakage in the tank. A reflective surface is also utilized to direct UV light into portions of the faucets formerly obscured from UV treatment. The faucets preferably provide self-sanitizing capability and an information center selectively displays time until next service, cost savings over bottled water and information related to the dispenser.

The cradle comprises first and second support arms configured to contactingly support the bottle, and rotates with respect to the frame during movement of the transport assembly to place the bottle at the desired non-inverted angle.

The hydrogen water prepared through the hydrogen water preparation method has the advantages of being fine in hydrogen bubble, high in hydrogen-enriched level and free of introduced contaminants; meanwhile, due to the fact that the generated hydrogen is uniformly distributed on the electrodes making contact with the water, the water-hydrogen mixing effect is good, and hydrogen enriching is better promoted; in addition, hydrogen generated through electrolysis has more activity and not only can be used for preparation in a large hydrogen water plant but also can be used for site production of small household water dispensers.

Method and apparatus for delivering bottled water to an automatic ice maker and water chiller

An apparatus and method for delivering bottled water to a remote appliance such as a kitchen faucet, refrigerator, coffee maker or beverage dispenser is comprised of a reservoir having means for supporting an inverted water bottle there above, a conduit disposed between the reservoir and a water inlet of the appliance, and a pump along the length of the conduit for injecting purified water under pressure from the reservoir into the appliance. A low liquid level switch is employed for detecting low water level in the reservoir, and a pressure switch is used for turning the pump on and off. A check valve may also be introduced between the pump and the appliance to prevent backflow of water into the reservoir. An alternate embodiment of the system employs bottle support means designed to hold two bottles simultaneously and permit evacuation of their contents into the reservoir in sequence.

The deep UV light-emitting diode is operated at an excitation near 265 nm and the laser induced fluorescence is detected at an emission near 450 nm to 500 nm for the dissolved organic compounds and near 310 nm for leached plastic compounds. Optical absorption filters and optical bandpass filters are employed to reduce out-of-band light emitting diode emissions and to eliminate second order optical interference signals for the detection of a fluorescence signal near 450 nm to near 500 nm. The system can measure water contained within a quartz optical cell, within bottled water containers, or in a flowing stream of water.

The method is specifically characterized in that in the sample pre-treatment process, adjusting the pH in a range of 4.5-5.0, using any one of ascorbic acid, sodium thiosulfate, sodium sulphite and ammonium chloride as a chlorination reaction termination agent, using any one of methyl tertiary butyl ether, ethyl acetate, normal hexane and normal pentane as an extraction agent, using a gas chromatography-mass spectrum instrument as a main instrument for detecting DBAN, controlling the sample size to be 3 microlitres, and controlling the temperature at the feeding opening at 110-130 DEG C. The analysis method of the invention improves the pre-treatment method of liquid-liquid extraction, establishes a high-efficiency extraction method, and improves recovery rate and enrichment times of the DBAN. The analysis technique can be widely applied to detection of yielding water in large, medium and small feed water treatment plants, to water quality security check for drinking water production units of bottled water and barrelled water, and to the industries with special water quality requirements and water drinking hygienic monitoring and investigation department.

A method and apparatus for providing sanitized water in a cabinet and spigot type bottled water dispenser features an ozone generating system to generate ozone for sanitizing the water. Ozone is generated and collected within an ozone generator housing. A blower transmits air to the ozone generator housing. The air carries the ozone that is generated through a flow line to an air diffuser that is positioned upstream of the spigot (or spigots) used to dispense water. In one embodiment, a valve that is activated on the spigot to dispense water also activates the blower and ozone generator. In other embodiments, a flow sensor activates the ozone generator and blower. Various spigot and flow sensor arrangements are disclosed as a part of the overall apparatus and method.
