Management interface for a system that provides automated, real-time, continuous data protection

A data management system that protects data into a continuous object store includes a management interface having a time control. The time control allows an administrator to specify a “past” time, such as a single point or range. When the time control is set to a single point, a hierarchical display of data appears on a display exactly as the data existed in the system at that moment in the past. Preferably, the visualization includes both the structure of the hierarchy (e.g., the identity of the directories, their files, databases, and the like) and also the contents of the data objects themselves (i.e., what was in the files and databases). The time control enables the management interface to operate within a history mode in which the display provides a visual representation of a “virtual” point in time in the past during which the data management system has been operative to provide the data protection service. In addition, the management interface can be toggled to operate in a real-time mode, which provides an active view of the system data as it changes in real-time, typically driven by changes to primary storage. This real-time mode provides the user with the ability to view changes that occur to a set of data currently visible on the display screen. The interface also allows an administrator to specify and manage policy including, without limitation, how long data is retained in the management system. A policy engine enables the user to assert “temporal-based” policy over data objects.

Automatic video segmentation and annotation method and system based on caption information

The invention discloses an automatic video segmentation and annotation method and system based on caption information. The method is characterized in that caption information in a video is extracted and fragmentation processing is performed on the video based on the caption information. The method comprises the following steps: (1) using video caption information extraction technology, extracting caption information from the video, wherein caption information specifically contents time information and text information of caption; and (2) determining all segmentation time intervals of the video to be segmented according to the time of occurrence of the caption and the time of occurrence of the next caption, and segmenting the video based on the segmentation time intervals by using video transcoding technology, and performing annotation on the video by using the text information in the caption. The invention provides the automatic video segmentation and annotation method and system based on caption information through combination of the caption extraction technology and the video segmentation technology, realizing automatic segmentation and annotation of video contents, and the method and the system can be used in the technical fields of fragmentation processing of video contents, cataloguing and searching of video contents and the like.

Electro-acoustic dual-mode measurement method for flow velocities of gas-liquid two-phase slug flow and plug flow

The invention relates to an electro-acoustic dual-mode measurement method for split-phase flow velocities of a gas-liquid two-phase slug flow and plug flow. An ultrasonic transducer with a dual-piezoelectric ceramic chip arranged inside and a capacitive-conductivity-based electrical sensor are employed. The method comprises: a moisture content time sequence H(t) of a two-phase flow is obtained by using an electrical sensor; a time-frequency analysis is carried out on a received signal and a dispersed phase velocity in measurement space at each time t is calculated; a dispersed phase velocity in the measurement space is calculated; a slug flow and a plug flow are distinguished; a moisture content of a projectile body or a moisture content of an air lock is extracted; a flowing velocity of bubbles in the projectile body and a flowing velocity of the air plug are extracted; a drag force between a continuous phase and a dispersed phase is calculated; a cutting force on the continuous phase by a tube wall is calculated; solving is carried out by using a numerical iteration algorithm to obtain a real flow velocity of a liquid phase in the projectile body or a real flow velocity of a liquid phase in the plug flow is obtained; and a two-phase flow split-phase flowing velocity is calculated.
