Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn. It is a hospital-based specialty, and is usually practiced in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). The principal patients of neonatologists are newborn infants who are ill or require special medical care due to prematurity, low birth weight, intrauterine growth restriction, congenital malformations (birth defects), sepsis, pulmonary hypoplasia or birth asphyxia.
A disposable nebulizer for neonatology
This invention discloses a disposable nebulizer for neonatal use, relating to the field of liquid nebulization inhalation technology. It includes a nebulizing cup and an air delivery tube connected to the bottom of the nebulizing cup. An anti-pull-out component is connected to the bottom of the nebulizing cup to prevent the air delivery tube from being directly pulled out from the bottom of the nebulizing cup. The anti-pull-out component clamps one end of the air delivery tube located on the lower side of the bottom of the nebulizing cup, with the distance between the top of the clamping component and the bottom surface of the nebulizing cup being less than half the length of the air delivery tube pre-reserved between them. This ensures that when the external air delivery tube is dragged, the dragging force terminates at the clamping component and is not transmitted to the interface between the air delivery tube and the bottom of the nebulizing cup. This effectively prevents the air delivery tube from detaching from the bottom of the nebulizing cup due to the newborn waving their hands and pulling at the air delivery tube during nebulization treatment, ensuring smooth and continuous nebulization treatment and improving the reliability of the nebulizer.
