Compact cable anchor for retainment and attachment of cables and tubing

A novel cable anchor for retainment and attachment of cables and tubing which utilizes a one-piece A-shaped rigid body (11) comprising of a U-shaped top (12) having the front, back and bottom open having two extensions one W-shaped left side extension (13) and one W-shaped right side extension (14) both extensions extending in a downward direction having 40 degrees more or less between the extensions. The W-shaped extensions having a barb surface located at the extreme outer surfaces of the W-shape. The U-shaped top (12) having an attachment hole (15) located at the top center. When manual pressure is applied on the outer surfaces of the extensions causing the extensions to move closer towards each other until the extensions are touching each other in the closed position thereby allowing the A-shaped rigid body (11) to be received in a bored hole of a substructure. The U-shaped top (12) may be flattened to facilitate the attachment of a separate cable clip or the like.

Cable anchor assembly

A cable anchor assembly for facilitating ready anchored connection of cables to components while protecting the cables from external forces and from moisture. The assembly includes a plurality of plates slidably engageable along a rail for facilitating relative movement between the plates. Each plate has an engaging edge that defines a portion of a formable collar in which a cable is receivable. A fixture, such as a rubber boot, is placed over a section of the cable and, with the plates separated, the cable section is placed between the formable collar portions, whereupon the plates are brought into sliding edge-to-edge contact with each other to enclose the cable section and boot. With the plates in contact, a securing mechanism is operated to maintain contact between the plates. In a preferred embodiment, the boot is configured to create a substantially water-resistant seal between the cable section and the movable plates.

Electrical fitting with internal cable retainer

An electrical fitting having an improved arrangement on the trailing end for securing electrical cables thereto. A connector body having a cavity in the trailing end includes a cable retainer secured therein. The cable retainer includes a substantially tubular body and is constructed of spring steel. The tubular body includes a flat portion and an arcuate portion. A single cable retaining tang extends inwardly from the flat portion. Providing the cable retaining tang on the flat portion of the tubular body enables a straight bend line between the cable retaining tang and the tubular body, thereby allowing the tang to flex easily. The cable retaining tang includes a wide cable gripping surface to enable secure gripping of an electrical cable as it is inserted within the trailing end of the fitting.

Electrical fitting with internal cable retainer

An electrical fitting with an improved arrangement on the trailing end for the quick connection of electrical cables. The fitting includes a connector body with a cavity in the trailing end and a cable retainer secured therein. The tubular cable retainer is constructed of spring steel and includes a flat portion and an arcuate portion. A single cable-retaining tang extends inwardly from the flat portion and includes notched edges at its juncture with the tubular body, thereby enhancing the resiliency of the tang. A wide cable-gripping surface on the cable-retaining tang enables secure gripping of an electrical cable as it is inserted within the trailing end of the fitting. End legs on the cable-retaining tang are at an angle with respect to the edge of the cable retainer thereby orienting the end legs with the grooves on an armored or similar electrical cable.

Cable anchor systems and methods

The cable system includes a cable, cable anchors and / or cable crimps. The cable anchors and cable crimps have mounting holes that are used to secure the cable anchors and cable crimps to bones of patients with bone screws. Once the cable anchors and / or cable crimps are attached to the bone, the cable wrapped around the bone and placed through the cable anchors and cable crimps. The cable is tensioned and a locking mechanism is used to lock the cable crimp to the cable. The cable anchors and cable crimps prevent the cable from moving on the bone.
