System and method for controlling electrosurgical snares

A system and method for controlling electrosurgical snares are disclosed. The system includes an electrosurgical instrument having an elongate tubular sheath having proximal and distal ends, the sheath having a longitudinal axis defined therethrough and a shaft having proximal and distal ends. The shaft extends through and is axially movable relative to the sheath. A snare loop is provided at the distal end of the shaft and is configured for encircling tissue. Movement of the shaft relative to the tubular sheath changes the diameter of the exposed snare loop. A feedback sensor operatively connected to the elongated tubular sheath which determines at least one condition of the snare loop, and an electrosurgical generator provides electrosurgical energy to the electrosurgical snare instrument. The generator is configured to receive feedback measurements from the electrosurgical snare instrument and to adjust electrosurgical energy as a function of the measurements.

Snare strainer

A snare strainer adapted to a snare drum comprises first and second strainers, which are attached to opposite positions on the exterior circumferential surface of a drum cylinder and by which a snappy member including snares is controlled to move in close contact with or separate from the backside drumhead upon operation of a switch mechanism. One end of an interconnection member included in the snappy member is held between first and second holding members of the first strainer, and the other end is held between third and fourth holding members of the second strainer. A tension adjustment screw is operated to adjust tension applied to the snappy member, which can be visually observed using the scale. Hence, it is easy for the human operator to attach and replace the snappy member and to replace the backside drumhead with another drumhead in a short period of time.

Strainer system of snare drum and snare drum with the strainer system

A snare drum includes a strainer system which switches the position of a snare wire between an OFF position spaced from a lower drumhead and an ON position in contact with the lower drumhead. The strainer system includes a frame to which the snare wire is attached, and a pair of link mechanisms which are joined to the respective end portions of the frame and attach the respective end portions of the frame to a shell of the snare drum. After switching the position of the snare wire to the ON position, the position of the snare wire with respect to the lower drumhead is adjusted by operating an adjust screw of the second link mechanism.

A device for dampening sounds produced by a drumhead of a musical drum having a drumshell comprising a frame assembly having a first elongated bar member with a first channel and a second elongated bar member with a second channel. The two bar members are disposed in opposed spaced apart parallel relation. Mounting brackets are affixed and secured to the two bar members at their opposing ends. Attached, respectively, to the two mounting brackets between the two bar members are the opposing ends of an assembly of snare wires. The mounting brackets are also provided to connect the assembly to the drumshell and are vertically adjustable between a high tension position such that the snare wires are moved to press against the drumhead and a lower tension position in which the wires are caused to relax to enable the release of tension of the wires against the drumhead. The dampening member has end components adapted to fit slidably into the first and second channels, respectively, to enable the dampening member to be movable between the two elongated bar members along the frame assembly in physical contact with the snare wires to adjust the tension of the wires against the drumhead to produce a variety of sounds. The dampening member is comprised of a base member, a device for physically contacting the snare wires as it is moved along the frame assembly and a resilient material situated between the base member and the contact device to buffer vibrations produced by the struck drumhead.

Hybrid snare drum stick

ActiveUS10482854B1Superior playing responseSuperior sound productionIndication apparatusPercussion musical instrumentsFiberMechanical engineering
An improved drum stick for use with all types of musical percussion instruments is disclosed. “Hybridized” wood materials are used for two sections or portions of the drum stick. The body or middle section of the drum stick is fabricated from a woven carbon fiber tube which is connected to a tip section or portion of the drum stick and its oppositely disposed butt section or portion of the drum stick, both of which are fabricated from a laminate wood composite material, known as hornwood. The combination of the woven carbon fiber tube with the tip section and its oppositely disposed butt section fabricated from hornwood results in a drum stick that has a precise pitch and weight while producing a very fast “rebound” off of the drum head.

Snare drum with phosphor copper drum shell

The invention relates to a snare drum with a phosphor copper drum shell, which comprises a striking face, a snare face, an upper clamping ring, a lower clamping ring and a drum shell. The striking face and the snare face are respectively and coaxially sleeved at upper and lower openings of the drum shell, and clamped and fastened by the upper and the lower clamping rings respectively. The drum shell is made of a layer of phosphor copper material. The invention has the advantages of reasonable design, simple structure, and is not only convenient to prepare, but also saves the cost of the equipment by using the phosphor copper material to prepare the drum shell, thereby avoiding the damage of dust in prior structure manufacturing to environment and operators. Meanwhile the snare drum makes clear, melodious and high-pitched sound. The snare installation base is fastened on a support rod to ensure the sealing integrity of the drum shell. Due to the changes of two structures, the snare drum has good tone quality and tone color, can play dynamic music and brings about perfect and impressive performance to audiences.

Snare drum strainer

A snare drum strainer includes a switch stand, a brake part, a suspender steady base and a pull handle driven part. The brake part can slide inside the switch stand and also can move upward and downward. The suspender steady base is steady located at a lower end of the brake part for clipping multiple snares. The pull handle driven part is pivotally coupled to the switch stand for controlling the brake part to be ascending and descending. The brake part makes use of a self-lubricating bearing and a shaft sleeve to generate a self-lubricating effect. Further, the pull handle driven part makes use of a bolt and a spacer to have the pull handle, the driven buttons and the driven pole pivotal coupled together. When the suspender steady base is in use, friction can be reduced, so as to enhance the fluid movement and further reduce the noise.
