The method includes retracting the tube proximally so that the expandable device remains proximal to the one or more objects or substances, advancing the expandable device distally so that a distal portion of the expandable device at least partially surrounds the one or more objects or substances, at least partially closing the distal end of the expandable device, and moving the expandable device proximally to remove the expandable device and the one or more objects or substances from the lumen.
