Mobile working machine

In lateral outriggers, e.g. of a mobile crane touch-free position sensors are arranged for the extension length and the operating range of the mobile crane is limited as a function of the currently measured values. In particular the touch-free magnetostrictive position sensors in a very flat housing can be well arranged between the particular telescope profiles without being exposed to the risk of damages.

Power line temperature and sag monitor system

The combination of a temperature sensor and an inclination sensor or the combination of a temperature sensor and a tension monitor properly positioned in conjunction with an energized electrical conductor produces outputs that are dependent on the conductor's average temperature in real time. A transmitter is used to communicate this information in real time to a central location such that up to optimal or maximum power transmission is feasible through the conductor while maintaining a safe clearance to the ground. This allows for close monitoring of thermal expansion resulting from increased load as well as varying environmental conditions.

Oriented fiber ceramic matrix composite abradable thermal barrier coating

A method of manufacturing a gas turbine engine component includes the steps of forming a ceramic workpiece having oriented ceramic reinforcement, and severing the ceramic workpiece to produce a ceramic member having a desired orientation of the ceramic reinforcement. The ceramic member is then attached to a turbine engine component as a thermal barrier layer for the turbine engine component.

Gutter cover clip

A cutter clip and methods for installing a gutter cover onto a gutter system are disclosed. The gutter clip includes a mouth portion sized to provide an interference fit between the gutter cover and the mouth portion of the clip which stationarily secures the gutter cover to the gutter clip. The gutter clip is further provided with a mounting portion that fastens to the lip of a gutter. Once assembled, the gutter clip of the present invention provides minimum horizontal and vertical tolerances between the gutter and the gutter cover, such that water may flow freely into the gutter channel, but does not permit debris to be lodged therein.

Manually actuated pump assembly

A finger operated pump assembly comprising a pump body (60, 160) having a base (64, 164) supporting an outer housing (62, 162) and an inner housing (66, 166) and defining a first portion of a compression chamber (68) therebetween. A piston (82) has an annular lip and has a piston outlet defined by a poppet valve seat. A poppet (98) is accommodated by the inner housing (66, 166) and biased away from the base into engagement with the poppet valve seat by a spring (104). The poppet (98) and inner housing (66, 166) define an interior cavity (100). A peripheral passageway (74) communicates with the compression chamber (68) and includes a one-way valve (76). A ventilation port (110) is provided int the interior cavity (100) so that during operation of (98), it may operate at ambient pressure.

Exhaust system

In an exhaust system of a motor vehicle, a tailpipe cover is disposed on the exhaust pipe and protrudes through a cutout in the vehicle rear part with a defined gap clearance. In a hot condition, where a length of the exhaust system is increased due to thermal expansion, a greater clearance arises between the edge of the cutout and the tailpipe cover than in the cold condition. The tailpipe cover is trumpet cone shaped.

Seed sowing apparatus

The present invention relates to a seed sowing apparatus which includes a substantially flat circular disc (1) mounted on a frame so as to be rotatable about horizontal axis (2) while partly embedded in soil (3) and drawn in a forward direction substantially parallel to the soil surface and substantially perpendicular to a disc axle. The apparatus also includes at least one blade (10) having a leading edge (11) defined by the intersection of two opposite side surfaces and structure (41, 45) for mounting the blades on the apparatus so that the leading edge (11) is held close to or in intimate contact with the disc (1), wherein the at least one blade's leading edge (11) is inclined in a plane of the blade such that an angle of the leading edge (11) with respect to an arc (A, B, C) of the disc surface passing beneath the leading edge (11) is zero or positive over the entire length of the leading edge (11).

Table saws

A table saw includes a table capable of supporting a workpiece, a cutting unit and a positioning fence. The positioning fence has a positioning surface for supporting the workpiece. The positioning surface is divided into an upper positioning surface and a lower positioning surface that are positioned above the table. First slide fences allocated to the lower positioning surface and second slide fences allocated to the upper positioning surface are slidably supported in a table surface direction relatively independent from each other. The positioning surfaces of the first and second slide fences constitute an entire region of the positioning surface. In this way, the entire region of the positioning surface is made to be slidable in accordance with various operation modes.

Electronic ballast with PCB edge mounted output transformer/inductor

An output transformer or inductor for electronic ballast which having a number of electronic components including diodes, transistors, resistors, various type of capacitors and different transformers / inductors mounted on a top surface of a PCB (printed circuit board) within a compact housing which envelops the whole ballast assembly. The PCB (printed circuit board) configured to relocate the output-transformer or inductor to an edge of the PCB (printed circuit board) away from the rest of the electronic components. The output-transformer terminal (the transformer's bobbin) has at least two of L-shaped brackets locked to the PCB's (printed circuit board) edge at its top surface. The output-transformer is designed in a cantilevered mounting so that it is able to quickly dissipate its operational heat to the ballast compact case with less interfered by other components. It also saves the PCB (printed circuit board) material cost because it uses shorter PCB.

Cable bolt

A cable bolt is provided that is suited to stabilize rock surfaces, particularly to withstand loads placed on the cable bolt when tensioned to stabilize rock surfaces of coal mines. The cable bolt comprises a tendon composed of a plurality of strands, the tendon having a plurality of pre-formed bulbous portions. The bulbous portions house rigid elements, such as a ball bearing, which are inserted after the bulbous portions are formed. When the cable bolt is tensioned or stressed, the load placed on the bulbous portion will be resisted by the rigid element housed within the bulbous portion, thereby preventing the bulbous portion from collapsing.
