Abstract

The method for preparing the ultrafine silver powder by using the waste photographic film comprises the following steps: preparing rough silver salt from a waste film and putting the rough silver salt into a graphite crucible; adding proper amount of sodium carbonate and boric acid; smelting at 1100 DEG C and removing suspended sodium chloride; and cooling and drying to obtain high-purity silver with the content more than 99.5%. The ultrafine silver powder is prepared from the high-purity silver. The waste film is used as a raw material and is immersed with a nitric acid dissolving method to prepare the high-purity silver with the content more than 99.5%; ascorbic acid is used as a reducing agent, and a macromolecule (PVP)-surfactant (TEA) composite system is used as a dispersant so that the spherical ultrafine silver powder with uniform granularity, regular shapes, good dispersity and controllable granularity can be prepared.
