33 results about "Nasopharyngeal airway" patented technology

In medicine, a nasopharyngeal airway, also known as an NPA, nasal trumpet (because of its flared end), or nose hose, is a type of airway adjunct, is a tube that is designed to be inserted into the nasal passageway to secure an open airway. When a patient becomes unconscious, the muscles in the jaw commonly relax and can allow the tongue to slide back and obstruct the airway. This makes airway management necessary, and an NPA is one of the available tools. The purpose of the flared end is to prevent the device from becoming lost inside the patient's nose.

Lateral oxygen supply and sputum suction nasopharyngeal airway

The invention provides a lateral oxygen supply and sputum suction nasopharyngeal airway. The lateral oxygen supply and sputum suction nasopharyngeal airway comprises a nasopharyngeal airway tube, an oxygen supply and sputum suction extending tube and a built-in oxygen supply and sputum suction tube which is arranged inside the nasopharyngeal airway tube, wherein one end of the built-in oxygen supply and sputum suction tube is provided with an outlet of the built-in oxygen supply and sputum suction tube; the other end of the built-in oxygen supply and sputum suction tube is connected with one end of the oxygen supply and sputum suction extending tube through an externally arranged interface of the built-in oxygen supply and sputum suction tube; the other end of the oxygen supply and sputum suction extending tube is connected with one end of an oxygen supply and sputum suction joint; and the tube wall of the nasopharyngeal airway tube is internally wrapped by breaking prevention steel wires. The lateral oxygen supply and sputum suction nasopharyngeal airway has the advantages of having two functions of oxygen supply and sputum suction; ensuring sufficient oxygen supply and good oxygen inhalation effect during the oxygen supply; ensuring sufficient sputum suction, enabling a respiratory tract of a patient not to be stimulated and ensuring that the patient can breathe normally during the sputum suction; and guaranteeing that the nasopharyngeal airway tube is not deformed during insertion and after insertion of the lateral oxygen supply and sputum suction nasopharyngeal airway due to the wrapped breaking prevention steel wires and preventing complications caused by affected ventilation due to the previous pure soft plastic which is easy to break.
