The subject invention provides for systems and methods that improve visualization of messages in a user's inbox. The systems and methods cluster messages into four groups: unaccessed, unaccessed and pending; pending; and read. This allows a user to more efficiently handle large volumes of messages in a prioritized way. Additionally, it supports a seamless flow between triage of new messages, management of recently received messages, and retrieval of recent as well as older messages for the user. Messages can include conversations between a user and one or more contacts, email (electronic mail) messages, voice messages, images, documents, tasks, as well as other forms of media. In one aspect of the invention, messages can be organized and/or prioritized into any of at least four clusters, whereby the four clusters appear in the order of unaccessed, unaccessed and pending, pending, and accessed.

In one exemplary embodiment, the heart rate variability index value is determined based on the relative power of the high frequencies versus the relative power of the low frequencies. A system and method for managing patient triage in an automated patient management system is presented. A criteria for placement of patient data into a display is defined for a plurality of remotely managed patients. The patient data originates from one or more patient data sources operating on each such patient and selected from at least one of a physiological sensor and a therapy delivery device. An ordering of the patient data within the display is defined based on a need of care in relation to one or more of a type of health condition, severity of the health condition, and facilities available to attend to the health condition. An organization of the patient data within the display is defined in relation to metadata associated with the patient data.

An example computer-implemented method of automatically triaging and scheduling patients in an emergency department includes associating a patient with an identification bracelet and processing the patient using a patient evaluation device. The processing includes obtaining patient data with the patient evaluation device and dynamically determining a risk level associated with the patient based on the patient data obtained. The method also includes automatically prioritizing and scheduling the patient with a healthcare practitioner based on the risk level determined.

The present invention relates generally to a diagnostic device including a prognostic assay for parameters which are indicative of a condition or event associated with the systemic vasculature. A casualty and triage information collection form and record sheet of flexible plastic film including a writing surface and backed by a layer of an adhesive by which the record sheet can be attached to a patient's clothing or skin. The flexible plastic film is strong enough and elastic enough to serve as a wound dressing. The adhesive is protected before use by a release liner sheet.
