A computer-implemented method for measuring the geometry of a guitar component is disclosed. A reference three-dimensional model representing a target geometry of the component is provided. The component is placed on a measurement station and scanned using a non-contact optical profilometer to obtain a point cloud. Points not corresponding to the component are filtered. Deviation values are computed by comparing the filtered point cloud with the reference model and are displayed in graphical form including colour-coded visualisation. Deviations affecting sound quality, playability or ergonomic characteristics are identified, and corrective operations are performed on the component based on the identified deviations. The method supports precise geometric evaluation and iterative correction during guitar manufacturing and setup.
