The application discloses a SNP
molecular marker related to a fruit color character of a
Malus hupehensis and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of
molecular biology and
plant molecular breeding. The application identifies a SNP site significantly related to the fruit color character of the
Malus hupehensis, which is located at the 28,700,657 base of a No. 3
chromosome, is A or G, and is further developed into a SNP
molecular marker with a
nucleotide sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. A primer set for detecting the SNP
molecular marker is provided. Experimental results show that the primer set provided by the application can be used to accurately and efficiently identify the fruit color of the
Malus hupehensis to be tested as red or yellow at a
seedling stage, and to perform
molecular breeding of the
Malus hupehensis. The application provides a new theoretical basis and technical means for early identification of the fruit color of the
Malus hupehensis, and has the advantages of high accuracy, simple operation, high detection flux and strong universality.
