The pesticide is prepared from, by mass, 13-20 parts of profenofos, 1-4 parts of pinellia ternata, 0.7-2.5 parts of narrow-leaf mohonia fortunei extract, 1.2-2.5 parts of diethofencarb, 0.5-1.6 parts of scopolamine, 0.7-2.5 parts of copper sulfate, 3-7 parts of an emulsifier, 5-10 parts of an activating agent and 16-23 parts of an organic solvent. The invention further provides application of the pesticide in saline-alkali land for corn planting. The pinellia ternata extract containing plant pesticide has the advantages that the prepared pesticide has the effect of preventing and controlling pests in the corn planting land and has the remarkably preventing effect on common pests in the corn planting land, such as European corn borers, mythimna separata, aphids, corn leaf mites and cotton bollworm. The prepared pesticide has the same preventing and controlling effect on corn plant diseases while preventing and controlling the pests in the corn planting land.
