The invention discloses a synthetic method of sec-octyl
phenoxyacetic acid, and relates to the technical field of
organic synthesis and
green chemistry. According to the synthesis method provided by the invention,
phenol and sec-
octanol are used as raw materials, and a one-pot method is adopted and comprises the following steps: a, putting
phenol, sec-
octanol, an etherification
reagent, an
ionic liquid catalyst, an etherification catalyst and an
ionic liquid reaction medium into the same reactor, and sequentially carrying out an
alkylation reaction and an etherification reaction at a certain temperature, the sec-octyl
phenoxy acetic acid is obtained; and b, after the reaction is finished, cooling and filtering a
reaction system, adding deionized water into filtrate for separation, collecting an organic phase, and carrying out recrystallization treatment to obtain the high-purity sec-octyl
phenoxy acetic acid. According to the synthesis method disclosed by the invention, two reactions of
alkylation and etherification are efficiently carried out in a compatible
system, the total yield is far higher than that of a traditional method, the used catalyst and
solvent can be recycled, and the whole technological process is basically free of acidic
wastewater or salt-containing organic
wastewater which is difficult to treat and is environment-friendly.
