Lactarius deliciosus, commonly known as the saffron milk cap and red pine mushroom, is one of the best known members of the large milk-cap genus Lactarius in the order Russulales. It is found in Europe and has been accidentally introduced to other countries under conifers and can be found growing in pine plantations. A fresco in the Roman town of Herculaneum appears to depict Lactarius deliciosus and is one of the earliest pieces of art to illustrate a fungus.

The present application relates to a device for cultivating Lactarius deliciosus by using the bark of pine tree and its using method, belonging to the field of edible mushroom cultivation. The present application solves the problem that Lactarius deliciosus is rarely grown on the bark of pine tree under natural conditions due to lack of spore source, moisture environment, water source and ventilation condition. The device comprises a water bucket (1), a spore cloth (7), a water-absorbing cloth (11) and a water-repellent cloth (14). The water bucket (1) provides water source, the spore cloth (7) is inoculated with Lactarius deliciosus spores, the water-absorbing cloth (11) supplies water source and maintains humidity, and the water-repellent cloth (14) blocks wind and reduces water evaporation. The using method is as follows: preparing LBLC culture medium, i.e. 20 g of potato, 2 g of glucose, 1 g of KHPO4, 1 g of KH2PO4, 1 g of thiamine and 1000 ml of water; winding the spore cloth (7), the water-absorbing cloth (11) and the water-repellent cloth (14); and binding the water bucket (1). The present application is used for cultivating Lactarius deliciosus on the bark of pine tree.
