According to one embodiment, a neurological stimulation system is adapted for implantation into a person's body for electrical, chemical, or combined electrical and chemical stimulation of target nerve tissue in the person's brain stem. For electrical stimulation, the system includes an electrical stimulation lead adapted for implantation on, in, or near the brain stem, and including electrodes adapted to be positioned on, in, or near target nerve tissue in the brain stem, for delivering electrical stimulation energy to the target nerve tissue. For chemical stimulation, the system includes an infusion catheter adapted for implantation on, in, or near the brain stem, and including openings adapted to be positioned on, in, or near target nerve tissue in the brain stem, for delivering a chemical to the target nerve tissue. The system also includes a stimulation source adapted for implantation in the person's body and operable to generate pulses of electrical stimulation energy or pulses of the chemical, for delivery to the target nerve tissue in the brain stem.

An indication is provided to the voice mail system that the real-time packets generated subsequent to the delay follow the real-time packets generated prior to the delay in the message by a time amount less than the delay.

The blade portion includes an abrasive surface adapted to remove enamel from the tooth in response to reciprocating movement of the abrasive surface against the enamel of the tooth. The handle portion is coupled to the blade portion, has a substantially solid cross-section, and is adapted to be inserted into a corresponding opening in a driver mechanism that is adapted to drive reciprocating movement of the blade portion to provide the reciprocating movement of the abrasive surface.

The clip is adapted to be urged vertically away from the occlusal plane from the open position to the closed position to secure the wire within the slot, the clip being biased against the wire when the clip is in the closed position and the wire is secured within the slot due to the applied force.

In another embodiment, the method also includes determining a nonuniform architecture for the cache providing an optimum number of cache ways for each cache set in the cache. The nonuniform architecture allows cache sets in the cache to have associativity values that differ from each other. The method also includes implementing the nonuniform architecture in the cache to further reduce power consumption at the cache.

According to one embodiment, a neurological stimulation system includes an electrical stimulation lead suited for implantation into the epidural space overlying the medulla for stimulation of nerve tissue in the brain stem. The lead includes a plurality of electrodes suited to be positioned in the epidural space overlying the medulla and to deliver stimulation energy to the nerve tissue. The system also includes a stimulation source suited for implantation into the person's body and operable to generate signals for transmission to the electrodes of the lead positioned in the epidural space overlying the medulla to cause the electrodes to deliver stimulation energy to the nerve tissue. In a particular embodiment, the lead may be suited for implantation posteriorly on, in, or near the brain stem overlying the medulla. In another embodiment, the method also includes determining a code placement according to which code is writeable to a memory separate from the cache. The code placement reduces occurrences of inter cache-line sequential flows when the code is loaded from the memory to the cache. The method also includes compiling the code according to the code placement and writing the code to the memory for subsequent loading from the memory to the cache according to the code placement to further reduce power consumption at the cache.

A system and method for computer originated audio file transmission includes a server having a communications module operable to communicate with a terminal unit. The server may also include a storage module operable to store at least one file. A processor may be provided to separate the file into a plurality of packets. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the communications module is operable to send an initial burst of packets to the terminal unit, wherein the initial burst of packets includes at least two of the plurality of packets. In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, the communications module is further operable to send additional packets of the plurality of packets at a predetermined rate, until each of the plurality of packets has been sent to the terminal unit.
