The Pennisetum purpureum Schum-derived bacillus megaterium has iron-producing carrier, azotification and IAA production characteristics, has an IAA yield of 10.57 microgrammes per milliliter, has a strong plant root colonization ability and good salt resistance, can grow in a culture medium containing 5% of NaCl (50g/L) and is an excellent plant growth promoting endophyte strain.
