A method using home gateway to realize
data exchange between an optical-network terminal and a user end solves the technical problems of the synchronization conversion between
digital video signals and audio signals, the realization of long-distance high-speed
internet access and the integrated use of network telephone. The method adopts the technical proposal that optical pulse data from an optical-network terminal is received through an optical network and the connection between an optical-
network module and an optical-
fiber interface which are installed in the home gateway, the optical pulse data is transferred to all functional modules by classification after undergoing
photoelectric conversion and is transmitted to the
signal inputting end of an externally-installed device of the user terminal through an accompanying interface circuit, the user realizes connections and the information exchanges between remote terminals with the aid of the external installation of the device, by sending commands and requests to the home gateway, and with the aid of the home gateway arranged on a destination terminal. By using a master
chip to process and convert the
digital video singles and the audio singles, and with the corresponding externally-installed interface arranged on the gateway, the method realizes an integrated home gateway integrating the uses of a computer, a telephone, a fax
machine, an
IPTV and other externally installed devices.
