The invention discloses a combination forecast modeling method of wind farm power by using gray correlation analysis, belonging to the technical field of wind power generation modeling. In particular, the invention is related to a weighted combination forecast method of wind power based on a least square support vector machine and an error back propagation neural network. The forecast method comprises that forecasted values of wind speed and wind direction are acquired in advance from meteorological departments while real-time output power is acquired from a wind farm data acquiring system; that the forecasted values of wind speed and wind direction and the real-time output power are inputted into a data processing module for data analyzing extraction and data normalization, and then normalized data is loaded to a database server; processed data in the database server is extracted by a combination forecast algorithm server to carry out model training and power forecast, and the wind farm sends running data to the data processing module in real time to realize rolling forecasting. The method of the invention achieves the goal of combination forecast of wind farm output in a short time. The method not only maximally utilizes advantages of two algorithms but also increases forecast efficiency by saving computing resources and shortening computing time.

Method for the continuous real time tracking of the position of at least one mobile object as well as an associated device

In a method for the continuous real time tracking of the position of at least one mobile object in a defined multidimensional space, at least one mobile transmitter module is attached to at least one mobile object and the signals from the at least one module are received by a stationary receiving and signal processing network and then centrally processed. The signals emitted by each transmitter module are electromagnetic waves sent within a frequency band range using time division multiplexing techniques. Due to the fact that the frequency band is used as a single channel for the purpose of maximizing the accuracy with which a position is detected, and due also to the fact that the communication process between the transmitters and the receivers is based on the principle of pseudo-random time division multiplexing using burst transmissions of low cross correlation with non synchronized pseudo-random patterns, there is created a method for the continuous tracking of the position of one or more mobile objects at any time and in any place which is of very high positional resolution and has a temporal resolution of just a few milliseconds.

System for tracking and dispensing medical items from environmentally controlled storage area

The system for monitoring and dispensing medical items which are dispensed for administration to patients includes a data terminal (76, 338) which is connected through a network (82, 328) to at least one remote computer (84, 324) having a processor and a data store. The system also includes a reading device (348) which is connected to the network. A user of the data terminal or the reading device is enabled to select a patient for whom medical items will be used, and responsive to a request to dispense items the requested items are dispensed from dispensing devices (96, 100, 344, 346, 450, 527) connected to the data terminal. A report generating device (384) generates reports (388) which include machine readable indicia corresponding to patients and/or medical items. Users may select patients and dispense medications by reading the indicia from the reports using the reading device. Certain storage locations are also labeled with machine readable indicia which may be read to indicate the taking of items therefrom as well as to indicate inventory status information. One such dispensing device in the system is a refrigerator (450) which is retrofit with a refrigerator lock module (452) which selectively enable access to medical items stored in an interior area thereof.

System and method for predicting fluid flow in subterranean reservoirs

A reservoir prediction system and method are provided that use generalized EnKF using kernels, capable of representing non-Gaussian random fields characterized by multi-point geostatistics. The main drawback of the standard EnKF is that the Kalman update essentially results in a linear combination of the forecasted ensemble, and the EnKF only uses the covariance and cross-covariance between the random fields (to be updated) and observations, thereby only preserving two-point statistics. Kernel methods allow the creation of nonlinear generalizations of linear algorithms that can be exclusively written in terms of dot products. By deriving the EnKF in a high-dimensional feature space implicitly defined using kernels, both the Kalman gain and update equations are nonlinearized, thus providing a completely general nonlinear set of EnKF equations, the nonlinearity being controlled by the kernel. By choosing high order polynomial kernels, multi-point statistics and therefore geological realism of the updated random fields can be preserved. The method is applied to two non-limiting examples where permeability is updated using production data as observations, and is shown to better reproduce complex geology compared to the standard EnKF, while providing reasonable match to the production data.
