Digital signal transmitter synchronization system

Methods, and apparatus for carrying out the methods, are disclosed for synchronizing a plurality of RF transmitters that are supplied with a common digital information signal for carrier modulation and subsequent transmission on a common channel throughout a prescribed region, whereby the digital signal receivers within the region may receive transmissions on the channel from more than one transmitter. The method involves inserting reference signals into the data sent to the transmitters in order to place them into known states at specific times relative to the digital signals sent to them for transmission. As a result of this method, the digital signals transmitted by each of the transmitters will be identical to one another so that the receivers will be able to identify one received signal as the main signal and the others as echoes. If necessary, the signal transmitted by at least one of the synchronized transmitters may be delayed, such that identical digital signals received from at least two of the transmitters by receivers in the region will arrive at each receiver within a prescribed time window. The methods and apparatus also can be applied to one or a plurality of RF transmitters for purposes of synchronizing processes at the source of the signals and at the transmitters.

Method for optical measurement of the three dimensional geometry of objects

The invention relates to a method for optically scanning the three-dimensional geometry of an object by means of triangulation, in which a pattern (9, 9′) is projected onto the object (7) to be scanned in order to obtain a 3D data set, and the projected pattern (9, 9′) is recorded in an image (40, 41). In a first step for the production of at least one first image (40), a first pattern (9) is projected and in a second step for the creation of at least one further image (40), a further pattern (9′) deviating from the first as regards position or shape is projected onto the object (7) to be scanned and the image (41) is created. The first image (40) and the further image (41) comprise at least one common point (44). The 3D data acquired from the images (40, 41) are merged in a subsequent step on the basis of the 3D data of the at least one common point (44) such that the 3D data acquired from said images (40, 41) agree at least with reference to the 3D data of the common point (44) in the 3D data set.

Method and apparatus for acknowledging a request for a data transfer

The disclosed embodiments relate to an apparatus and method for acknowledging a data transfer. The first protocol may generate a request for a data transfer. The second protocol may receive the request for a data transfer from the first protocol. With the request, the second protocol may determine if the request for the data transfer contains a request for acknowledgement of completion of the data transfer. The second protocol may send a request corresponding to the request for data transfer to a third protocol. If the request for data transfer does contain a request for acknowledgement of completion of the data transfer, then the second protocol may set a variable in memory to wait for an event to correspond to the completion of the request and send an acknowledgement to the first protocol upon the occurrence of the event.

Systems and methods for implementing CORDIC rotations for projectors and related operators

ActiveUS20070130241A1Minimized on demandMemory can be eliminatedComputation using denominational number representationComputer scienceCordic processor
A CORDIC processor is configured to perform orthogonal or oblique CORDIC projections in order to cancel interference in a received signal. The CORDIC projection can be used to rotate an interference signal vector so that its only non-zero component is in the last Euclidean coordinate of the representative vector. A measurement vector is then subject to the same rotations as the interference vector. As a result of the rotation on the measurement vector, all components of the measurement vector parallel to the interference vector will be resolved onto the same coordinate as the rotated interference vector. The parallel components of the symbol vector can be cancelled by zeroing that coordinate, and the modified measurement vector can then be rotated back to its original coordinates, to produce an orthogonally projected version of the original measurement vector. Typically, the projection is onto a subspace that is orthogonal or oblique to an interference subspace, which may be one-dimensional.

Payment System and Method Including Account Reconciliation with Float

Systems, methods, and devices for paying a worker (employee, contractor, etc.) soon after that worker's shift. An application on an employee's mobile computing device allows that worker to receive offers to receive their pay based on employer provided shift or pay details, details of their rate of pay in a database or to declare the duration of a shift worked. Once the shift is over, a first server calculates the worker's pay for that shift or pay based on data from a first database and on data regarding the shift or pay details. A portion of the worker's pay for the shift is then transferred to an account that the worker has and which is tracked by a second server in communication with a second database.
