The invention discloses an ointment for treating burns, which comprises the following pharmaceutical components: 50 to 70 grams of
borneol, 80 to 100 grams of herba artemisiae, 80 to 100 grams of
cuttlebone, 140 to 160 grams of calcined calamine, 90 to 110 grams of
borax, 20 to 30 grams of
safflowers, 30 to 50 grams of dragon blood, 40 to 50 grams of
cinnabar, 20 to 30 grams of nidus vespae, 90 to 110 grams of
bletilla, 13 to 150 grams of raw oysters, 150 to 200 grams of
snake oil and 1,800 to 2,200 grams of
Vaseline. First twelve pure Chinese medicaments are processed separately, pounded, passed through a
sieve with 100 meshes and then mixed well; the
Vaseline is melted and boiled; the
snake oil and mixed medicinal
powder are added to the
Vaseline respectively and mixed well; and the mixture is cooled and then packed. The ointment has the advantages of quick
pain relief, short time for controlling wound exudates, obvious antiphlogistic effects, convenient treatment, no
scars after wounds heal, and the like. Clinical observation shows that the
therapeutic effect of the ointment is better than that of the prior medicaments for treating burns.
