A system for scheduling a conference between callers includes a database that stores scheduling information indicating at least a start time, a duration, and a maximum number of callers for one or more scheduled conferences, the scheduling information reflecting available conferencing resources. A server complex coupled to the database communicates, to a requesting Internet Protocol (IP) user, at least one page including one or more scheduling input fields. The server complex receives scheduling input from the requesting IP user for a requested conference according to the scheduling input fields. The server complex accesses the database to determine, according to the scheduling input, whether sufficient resources are available for the requested conference. If so, the server complex allocates at least some available resources to the requested conference and generates confirmations of the requested conference for communication to the callers.

A method for collaborative data entry in which a primary user enters data into an input terminal includes data being entered into a number of input fields on an input screen by the primary user. The system authenticates a login attempt by a patient and displays a visual representation of a prescribed medical procedure to the patient. A method, apparatus, client and server are directed at providing a simplified scheme to deliver email messages that include text message body, and/or MIME attachments from desktop computing devices to messaging (such as SMS) and wireless internet capable phones. A web form is provided for users to compose messages and/or adding MIME attachments from their PC. Also provided in the form are input fields for users to enter device numbers for recipients. Upon submitting the form, message body and MIME attachments are uploaded and stored on the server. An email WAP page that contains the message body and the links to all the MIME attachments is created dynamically and stored on the server. The server then queries a service database and looks up a domain routing table to build the email like messaging addresses for recipients. The server sends a notification message with an embedded link to the email like messaging addresses. The link, such as a URL, a script, an executable, a program, and the like, pointing to the email WAP page, can be invoked from mobile devices. When the link is invoked on the mobile device, it sends a request to the server for the email WAP page. Upon receiving the request from the mobile device, the server collects the information about the mobile device; queries a device database for formats, display and capabilities; locates and loads the email WAP page; converts the MIME attachments to the formats supported by the mobile device; formats the email WAP page for display on the mobile device; delivers the formatted email WAP page to the mobile device. The email WAP page can be viewed, downloaded, and played on the mobile device. The scheme of the present invention supports a device number based authentication. The scheme of the present invention can also be implemented to deliver email messages to multiple mobile devices. A system, apparatus, and method of remote, virtual on screen data input includes a peripheral data input device (PDID) made up of a proximity sensor and data communications means. The proximity sensor is adapted to dynamically recognize the movement of a target in the proximity of the peripheral device. The data connection device is adapted to transmit signals from the proximity sensor to a processor communicatively coupled to the remote display. A method and system for applying input mode bias is disclosed. A schema is applied to an input field of an electronic document. The schema is associated with a grammar that defines the set of acceptable strings that may be input into the input field. When text is input into the input field, the schema is determined and the associated grammar is determined. The grammar is then sent to the input method. Based on the grammar, the input method may determine what text the user is trying to enter. The grammar may also be used to apply semantic categories to text input into a document. After the text is entered it is compared to a grammar. If the entered text matches the form of the grammar, then the schema is applied to the text as a semantic category.
