Preparation method of 2-carboxylic acid diphenyliodide

This invention discloses a method for preparing 2-carboxylic acid diphenyl iodide ester. The method involves using 2-iodobenzoic acid and benzene as raw materials in an acidic solvent, with potassium persulfate and a heteropolyacid metal salt as a mixed catalyst, and controlling the reaction temperature at 10℃~20℃ to synthesize 2-carboxylic acid diphenyl iodide ester. The product is then purified. The mass ratio of 2-iodobenzoic acid, benzene, and the mixed catalyst in this invention is 250:85~95:2~5. The synthetic route is simple, and the purity of the prepared product is over 99.9%, meeting the high purity requirements of electronic chemical raw materials. The yield can reach approximately 90%, demonstrating high industrial application value. Furthermore, the catalyst used in this invention can be recycled, further reducing production costs.
