35 results about "Reference card" patented technology

A reference card or reference sheet (or quick reference card) or crib sheet is a concise bundling of condensed notes about a specific topic, such as mathematical formulas to calculate area/volume, or common syntactic rules and idioms of a particular computer platform, application program, or formal language. It serves as an ad hoc memory aid for an experienced user.

Method and system for conducting contactless payment card transactions

A system and method for enhancing functional interoperability of contactless payment devices that are used for conducting electronic payment transactions between consumers and merchants. The contactless payment devices include RFID-embedded cards issued to consumers and proximity coupling devices such as RFID-enabled readers deployed by merchants. The system and method involve use of a reference card and a reference reader to establish acceptable specifications for issued cards and deployed readers, respectively. The reference card and reference reader are cross-calibrated to link the operational specifications for the cards and the readers. A suitable selection of overlapping specification ranges or tolerances for proper card and reader functions, the enhances the interoperability of the issued cards with a deployed reader, and also the interoperability of deployed readers with an issued card.

Combination poker and simulated sporting event wagering game

A game method of play that combines features of the game of poker with features from a variety of competitive sporting events. A deck of 56 cards is utilized containing four suits and fourteen rank cards for each suit (the rank of “1” for each suit is added to a standard deck of 52 cards). Indicated on the face of each card is a scoring value associated with a particular sporting event competition. The players carry out the play of the game in a manner similar to that of poker, playing for a poker outcome using the poker values, as well as a scoring outcome using the sports scoring indicia on the cards accumulated in the player's hand. Depending on the embodiment of the game being played, winning can occur in three ways: by holding the best poker hand value; by holding the best scoring hand value; or by having the best cumulative scoring outcome over multiple hands. In this manner, players bet during the play of the game on both the anticipated value of their poker hand and the anticipated value of the sporting event scoring values reflected on the cards they retain. Score cards and rank value reference cards facilitate the play of the game and the process of betting on the outcome.

Reference equipment for testing contactless payment devices

Reference equipment including a reference card and a reference reader is provided for testing electronic payment devices such as cards and card readers. The reference equipment is designed to simulate the external behavior of a variety of payment devices that are currently or expected to be deployed in electronic payment systems. Further, the reference equipment is configured to subject devices under test to extreme behaviors which are expected in field use or which are representative of a large class of payment devices. The external behaviors may relate to functional parameters, for example, power consumption, resonance frequency, Q-factor, modulation depth, noise, and timing. Exemplary reference devices are configured to exhibit representative external behavior, which is an empirically determined average behavior of the product devices in the field. Use of the reference equipment for product specification compliance testing will enhance the interoperability of product payment devices.

Reference card used for calibrating reception sensitivity of non-contact read-write machine

The present invention puts forward a reference card for calibrating receiving sensitivity of non-contact reading-writing tools. One key performance index of a non-contact reading-writing tool is the sensitivity of receiving response signals sent by a non-contact card. As the modulation depth curve of the applicable non-contact card is determined, the non-contact card cannot be used for the sensitivity calibration of the reading-writing tool. The reference card of the present invention can change the magnitude of modulation load at different magnetic field intensities through a switch, so as to send modulation signals at different modulation depths to the non-contact tool. The present invention can be very conveniently used to calibrate the receiving sensitivity of the non-contact reading-writing tools.
