Method and device for capturing playing motion of stringed instrument based on audio and video, and electronic equipment

The invention provides a string instrument playing motion capturing method and device based on audio and video, and electronic equipment. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a string instrument playing video and a string instrument playing audio; acquiring a first fusion feature based on the stringed instrument playing video; obtaining a second fusion feature based on the stringed instrument playing audio; based on a pre-trained motion capture model, according to the first fusion feature and the second fusion feature, obtaining a playing motion capture result of the stringed instrument; wherein the motion capture model is obtained by training and optimizing a theoretical playing position loss function and a finger pressing force loss function. According to the method, on the premise that no optical mark or sensor is introduced, fine capturing of stringed instrument playing is achieved based on stringed instrument playing videos and stringed instrument playing audios, the result focuses on highlighting accurate hand actions, meanwhile, the stringed instrument and key interactive contact are captured, and the playing effect of the stringed instrument is improved. And high-precision modeling of the whole body skeleton, the musical instrument position and the hand fine playing action of the player in the playing process is realized.

Tab colors notation system

A music notation system for string instruments features a time signature indicator and measure sections with representations arranged in a single horizontal plane to eliminate spatial recognition requirements and avoid navigation across multiple information planes. Each representation includes colored numbers denoting fret positions and string colors, spatially arranged to eliminate the need for musicians to leap across different vertical positions when reading sequential notes. Graphical indicators positioned separately from and in proximity to the colored numbers specify note duration, with visual separation isolating rhythmic components from note identification. This reduces visual processing complexity, providing a method for string instrument players to interpret and perform musical compositions accurately without requiring spatial recognition skills.

Plectrum retainer for thumb-mounted string instrument playing

A plectrum retainer is disclosed for securing a planar plectrum to the thumb tip of a user. The device comprises a clamping body having a base jaw portion with a planar inner platform and an opposing dorsal jaw portion resiliently biased toward the base jaw portion. In use, the retainer receives the thumb tip such that the dorsal jaw portion bears against a dorsal surface and the platform jaw urges the plectrum into contact with the volar surface. The plectrum extends straight out from between the jaws for engaging instrument strings.

Pick holders

Picks are essential tools for musicians who play stringed instruments such as guitar, mandolin, or bass. Due to their small size, they tend to be easily lost or difficult to find when needed. Current storage solutions for picks often involve bulky containers or special bags that are not always convenient to carry and often do not allow quick access to the picks. The technical problem addressed by the present invention is therefore to develop a holder that is compact and easily accessible for securely storing picks and keeping them within easy reach of the musician. The present invention relates to a plectrum holder specifically designed to securely and readily attach plectrums to metallic and magnetic surfaces, particularly mobile devices such as smartphones. The holder is characterized by a compact and flat design, which facilitates carrying. The magnetic attachment is achieved by integrated magnets (5) in combination with elastomer feet (4), which provide additional holding force through increased friction. Slotted recesses (7) in the base body (1) allow plectrums (3) of varying thicknesses and shapes to be inserted. The elastomer inserts (2) create a shoulder (15) that securely fixes the plectrum (3) between the clamping point of the base body (11) and the clamping point of the elastomer insert (10). The flexibility of the elastomer inserts (2) allows for a reliable range of plectrum thicknesses. This innovative solution makes it easier for musicians to always have their picks at hand without losing them, and represents a practical alternative to existing storage methods.

Real-time acoustic quality feedback and visualization method and system for string instrument playing

The invention discloses a string instrument playing real-time acoustic quality feedback and visualization method and system, and relates to the technical field of man-machine interaction. Comprising an acoustic signal acquisition module, an acoustic feature extraction module, an acoustic quality evaluation module and a real-time feedback and visualization module, a string instrument acoustic signal is acquired through a high-sensitivity microphone array, after preprocessing such as band-pass filtering and framing, pitch, volume and timbre features are accurately extracted by utilizing an autocorrelation method, a root mean square method and a frequency spectrum gravity center respectively, and the real-time feedback and visualization of the string instrument acoustic signal is realized. And comparing the characteristics with a preset standard to realize comprehensive and accurate evaluation of the acoustic quality. Meanwhile, real-time feedback is prompted through different prompt tones and characters, so that a player can quickly know problems and adjust the problems in time; besides, the three-dimensional visual interface enables the pitch, the volume and the tone to correspond to three-dimensional coordinate axes respectively, quality levels are distinguished by color areas, and the acoustic quality state is visually presented by dynamic points, so that a player can integrally grasp the acoustic performance of playing from the spatial dimension, and the understanding threshold is reduced.

String instrument playing aid

PCT designated stageWO2026154292A1Mechanical engineeringString instrument playing
An apparatus to aid in playing a string musical instrument comprising a support member having a member body to receive a portion of a distal end of a limb of a user and a sleeve configured to receive a proximal end of the limb. The sleeve is connected to the member body through a first coupling. A first bow adapter affixed to a first end of a bow enables a coupling of the first end to the support member. A second bow adapter is affixed to the second end of the bow for coupling of the first end of a second biasing member to the distal end of the bow. Rotations at the first and second couplings enable the user to draw the bow between first and second positions across the strings while the biasing members urge the bow to return to the first position.
