Device and Method for Self-Limiting Access to Objects and Substances

A time-locking container to limit the compulsive overuse of objects and substances, such as but not limited to money, food, alcohol, and tobacco. The container locks until a future date and time of day set by the user. The container informs the user, before it locks, of the duration of locking. If the duration exceeds a user-selectable maximum, the container waits for user confirmation, otherwise it locks after a delay. This feature prevents an accidental prolonged lockout. While the container is locked, the user can extend, but not shorten, the duration of locking The user can request early access to the contents, while the container is locked, subject to an unlocking delay before access is granted, a relocking delay after which access is denied, and an inhibit delay limiting the frequency of use of the early open feature. The device provides a programmable schedule, and can relock itself after a programmable delay.

To provide a lock-confirmation supporting device which helps a user to do the lock confirmation with the senses of a human being easily and surely at the time right after the locking operation, and to do the lock reconfirmation easily after being locked. A lock-confirmation supporting device is constituted of a key holder portion (2) in which a key is held and out of which it is taken by a user for locking and an electronic clock portion (3) comprising a clock circuit, CPU, ROM, RAM and a display unit. The lock-confirmation supporting device generates a lock-confirmed signal upon the user's key-returned action right after the locking oepration. Upon the lock-confirmed signal, the lock-confirming device stores in the RAM of the electronic clock portion (3) the real time as the lock-confirmed time and informs the user of the lock-confirmed time by displaying it on a liquid crystal display unit (18). The lock-confirmed signal is generated by a key-taken out or key-returned sensor means, a locking sound detecting means including locking sound sensor, for example, a microphone (5a) and the like or manual input switch (22) provided in the key holder portion (2). The lock-confirmed time stored in the RAM is displayed on the liquid crystal display unit (18) by operating a reconfirmation switch (7) after locking.

Tamper evident cargo container seal bolt lock

Systems and methods for a tamper-evident cargo container seal bolt lock are disclosed herein. The device can include a receiving member, a conductive bolt member adapted to be snap-locked into the receiving member, and a plastic encapsulant which tethers the bolt member to the receiving member. The encapsulant can contain an electrically conductive medium, such as a wire, which runs from the receiving member to the second end the bolt. A sensory circuit disposed within the receiving member can be configured to sense whether the circuit has been interrupted (e.g., if the bolt has been cut). In the event of an interruption, the circuit can record the present time and / or date in memory. An RFID transponder disposed within the encapsulant or the receiving member can then transmit the recorded date / time to an RFID interrogator if a dispute subsequently arises as to when the lock had been broken.

Unlocking method and system

The invention is applicable to the technical field of share management, and particularly relates to an unlocking method and a system, which are used among terminals, servers and electronic locks. Themethod comprises the following steps: a terminal sends an unlocking request to a server, wherein the unlocking request includes the identify label of the electronic lock and the logging information ofa user; the server receives the unlocking request and acquires the password information corresponding to the identify label of the electronic lock, and sends a timing command to the electronic lock, and the timing command includes the valid time of the password information; and the electronic lock begins timing after receiving the timing command, and performs unlocking action when receiving the password information within the valid time. Therefore, the time-limited keyless unlocking of the share resources with the electronic lock can be realized, and furthermore, the usage time of the share resources can be efficiently controlled and the sharing efficiency can be improved.
