A prefilled syringe and syringe assembly having a syringe and a tip cap are produced from materials that do not interfere with the substance contained in the syringe and enable long term storage. The tip cap is made from a blend of a cyclic olefin polymer or copolymer and a thermoplastic elastomer. The thermoplastic elastomer is blended with the cyclic olefin copolymer in an amount so that the normally stiff and hard cyclic olefin copolymer is flexible and resilient to effectively seal and couple to the tip of a prefilled syringe.

An energy-absorbing hood assembly for a vehicle includes upper, lower, and middle panels. The upper and lower panels respectively include first and second interface surfaces. The upper panel is preferably secured to an inner surface of an outer panel. The middle panel has opposing first and second surfaces defining an asymmetric waveform profile, preferably having a polygonal geometry. The middle panel member is secured to the first and second interface surfaces at preselected locations along the upper and lower surfaces, thereby defining a plurality of laterally oriented asymmetric channels. This invention provides an agitator blade and toner cartridge employing such an agitator blade that enables a higher capacity of toner while lowering the load exerted by the print engine motor as toner is agitated. This blade and cartridge also allows for greater efficiency at low toner levels as the blade is brought closer to the inner wall of the cartridge toner tank. The blade consists of an axially directed axle shaft having a plurality of rigid, radially directed ribs that extend to a location proximate to the inner wall of the tank. A plurality of cross bar members are mounted between each pair of ribs. Each cross bar includes axially extended, rib-engaging wings. The wings are mounted so that the cross bars are generally prevented from passing between the ribs when the cross bars are driven by the ribs in the normal direction of agitator rotation. However, the wings are sufficiently resilient so that a predetermined level of toner resistance at high fill levels causes the wings and cross bars to elastically deform and pass through the ribs, leaving only the thinner ribs to traverse the toner in that cycle. The sleeve is resilient and returns to an original configuration when an insertion force is released. The needle hub can have a first sleeve to cover a patient end of the cannula, and second sleeve to cover a non-patient end of the cannula where the sleeves retract onto the cannula or hub and expand to the original configuration to cover the ends of the cannula.
