A touch-sensitive apparatus comprises a light transmissive panel, an illumination arrangement and a detection arrangement. The illumination arrangement is configured to couple light into the panel via an incoupling site such that the light propagates by total internal reflection in opposite top and bottom surfaces of the panel and such that an object touching the top or bottom surface causes a change in the propagating light. The detection arrangement comprises a light detector arranged to detect the change in the propagating light. A compact and robust incoupling site is defined by a sheet-like micro-structured surface portion which is fixedly arranged on one of the top and bottom surfaces and configured to transmit light having an angle of incidence that enables light propagation by TIR inside the panel.

An arrangement for a monitoring camera device having a camera head being movable within a movement range (MR₁, MR₂) is provided. The arrangement comprises an enclosure for covering the interior of the monitoring camera device and having an opening for the camera head providing a free line of sight for an arbitrary camera head position within the movement range (MR₁, MR₂), a shield movably arranged relative the enclosure for masking parts of the opening not being used for providing the free line of sight for the arbitrary camera head position, the shield comprising a first and a second shield portion mutually movably arranged, wherein the shield is maneuverable between a compressed state and an extended state by movement of the first shield portion relative to the second shield portion. A monitoring camera device comprising the arrangement is further provided.

A connection arrangement accommodates misalignments in three dimensions, and achieves a positive fixed connection between two components. A threaded standoff with a first bolt hole therein is partially screwed into a threaded hole in the first component and protrudes to match the spacing distance between the components. Inner and outer eccentric disks are received and supported in a hole in the second component. The inner disk has an offset center relative to the outer disk, and has a second bolt hole offset from the inner disk's center. Rotating the two disks accommodates radial misalignments to bring the two bolt holes into alignment. A bolt shaft extends through the bolt holes. While a bolt head or nut at one end of the shaft bears against the eccentric disks, a clamping cone at the opposite end of the shaft is tightened to axially clamp the standoff against the second component, and to radially outwardly spread and clamp the standoff against the internal threading of the first hole in the first component. The first hole can be in a threaded sleeve secured in the first component, and the second hole can be in a clamping sleeve secured in the second component. The second hole may be a recessed stepped hole.

An apparatus, method, and system for automatically turning off an electrically powered actuator in a refrigeration mechanism upon detection of an unwanted condition. In one aspect of the invention, the electrically powered actuator can be the motor of an ice maker/dispenser. The detection can be accomplished by sensing the presence of an object along or near an ice dispensing pathway from the ice maker/dispenser. The unwanted condition could be the presence of the object for more than a preset time period. This would allow to distinguish between an unwanted object such as silverware or clogged ice versus a wanted object such as flowing ice cubes, crushed ice, or shaved ice.

The current invention discloses a water drainage system designed for securing a waterproof membrane as well as centering a wastewater pipe. The water drainage system has a coupling mechanism including a lower drain body and a pipe-capturing member. The lower drain body may be installed in a substrate medium, such as a shower pan, onto which a waterproof membrane would be fixed. The pipe-capturing member has two frusto-conical designs which allow the pipe-capturing member to be firmly asserted into the lower drain body and at the same time center and secure the wastewater pipe. The pipe-capturing member and the lower drain body each has a flange wherein the two flanges trap and secure the waterproof member in place. Additional structures such as a drain trim holder may also be adopted to allow easier adjustment. The current invention is particularly useful for shower pan drainage.

An embodiment of a multi-contact electrical connector includes multiple small-scale densely packed contacts in the form conductive coils with wire loops whose elastic deformation provides a normal contact force for each contact in the connectors. The present invention discloses an electric device with a rotatable and receivable plug. The electric device includes an upper case and a lower case. The lower case has two through holes, two plug receiving slots and two receptacles formed therein, and is engaged with the upper case. The electric device further includes a plug having a first end and a second end. The first end is inserted into the through holes of the lower case. Moreover, the first end of the plug is received in the plug receiving slots of the lower case and the second end of the plug is received in the receptacles of the lower case when the plug is rotated to a hidden position.
