Abstract

The invention provides a method for preparing a water-resistant white emulsion. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining proper water and polyvinyl alcohol, mixing, increasing the temperature till polyvinyl alcohol is completely dissolved, and keeping the temperature to obtain solution A; obtaining proper emulsifier, adding the emulsifier and remained water into the solution A by stirring, slowly adding proper vinyl acetate and proper compound initiator, increasing the temperature, and keeping the temperature; cooling; then, slowly adding the remained vinyl acetate and the remained initiator; increasing the temperature, and keeping the temperature; adding proper emulsifier and polyvinyl acetate, keeping the temperature, and cooling; adding sodium bicarbonate, dibutyl phthalate, diethylene glycol dibenzoate, octyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol, and uniformly mixing to obtain solution B; and adding the remained emulsifier and the like into the solution B, uniformly mixing, keeping the temperature, and cooling to room temperature so as to obtain the water-resistant white emulsion. The water-resistant white emulsion prepared by the method disclosed by the invention has excellent comprehensive properties.
