Channel efficiency based packet scheduling for interactive data in cellular networks

The present packet scheduling algorithm gives cellular network operators greater flexibility in adjusting the way resources are allocated among interactive best-effort data users. Best effort data users with different radio link qualities may have different amounts of data delivered to them using the same amount of radio resource. In the context of link adaptation, this characteristic complicates the fairness issue in cellular environments and has a profound impact on the overall system performance. As a result, the present packet scheduling algorithm is capable of allocating radio resource dynamically, not only based on channel conditions, but also to achieve different performance trade-offs among users with different link qualities. According to the algorithm, channel quality is determined for each user, channel efficiency is calculated and the channel efficiency value is used as the primary factor in weighting the delivery of packets to (or from) a given user. In a packet schedule weighting equation, a value of exponent may be varied from negative to positive to give good (or bad) users better service. However, performance of users with bad channel qualities degrades the performance of good channel users in a disproportionate manner. It is shown that it is frequently preferable to favor users with good channel qualities.

The invention discloses a communication system and a communication method provided with combined frequency domain repetition and mixed automatic retransmission. At first, one receiving end receives a communication signal, and makes an analysis treatment to the communication signal to obtain a channel quality estimation message and SINR messages of resource blocks that the communication signal corresponds to, then a modulation code format and retransmission times are determined according to the channel quality estimation message and the SINR messages of the resource blocks, finally a sending end makes a corresponding code modulation as well as combined frequency domain repetition and mixture with corresponding times to the communication signal to be transmitted according to the determined modulation code format and retransmission times, then the communication signal is sent. Thus, the transmission time delay of the air interface can be effectively decreased, the repetition times are jointly optimized based on the requirement of the service quality, the frequency domain resource allocation and the time-domain mixed automatic retransmission can be realized, and the packet schedule based on the quality of the channel can also be supported at the same time.

A Congestion Sensing and Marking Method for Microbursts in Multi-queue Data Center Environment

The invention discloses a marking method based on display congestion notification (ECN) in a multi-queue data center environment, which mainly solves the problems that the traditional ECN cannot perceive micro-burst flows and cannot adapt to dynamic networks. The present invention mainly includes three parts, which are the calculation of the lower bound of the ECN threshold, the setting of the base value of the threshold and the dynamic adjustment of the threshold. The present invention first conducts steady-state analysis on the generation and transmission process of micro-bursts in a multi-queue data center environment, and solves the lower bound of the ECN threshold for each switching queue to ensure that the queue buffer of the switch can effectively absorb the micro-bursts. Then based on the ideal Generic Packet Schedule (GPS) model, adjust the lower bound of the ECN threshold and set the threshold base value for each queue to ensure the balance between the entry rate and exit rate of the exchange queue. Finally, based on the goal of improving network throughput In this paper, an optimization model for maximizing the utilization of queue buffers is established for switch memory resources, and an algorithm for dynamically adjusting ECN thresholds is proposed.
