In particular, the system may comprise a plurality of wireless computing devices in nearby proximity to one another that may form the peer to peer (“P2P”) network through a shared wireless communication channel. The system may identify the network connection strengths of each of the plurality of wireless computing devices and subsequently designate one or more devices as the hubs of the P2P network. Each of the wireless computing devices may have one or more online processes to be completed through the network connections formed by the P2P network. The processes may be propagated to the devices within the P2P network, where the data used to complete the processes may be encrypted within the memory or storage devices of each of the computing devices.

Systems and methods are described herein for streaming during unavailability of a content server. Upon determining that there are conditions indicating buffering issues during delivery of a media asset, a server determines a first group of devices suitable for receiving the media asset from the server and sharing the media asset on a peer-to-peer network. Then, the server determines a second group of devices suitable for receiving the media asset on a peer-to-peer network from a first group device. The server then determines groupings within which to share and receive the media asset. Next, the server transmits instructions to the devices in the first group to maintain in buffer and share certain portions of the media asset with the second group devices within their grouping. Finally, the server updates information detailing the media asset portions the devices are maintaining in buffer and sharing.

A dedicated extension and emulation proxy for wirelessly extending and emulating several USB-based data stream protocols, such as UVC, UAC, and HID, and standards for connecting high-definition video devices, such as HDMI, in a proxy fashion. The host computer does not virtually see the existence of the wireless connection because its network hardware and software are bypassed to compartmentalize point-to-point networking away from the host computer.
