A steering device for a superposition steering system is provided using at least one actuator. The device is based on the object of producing a superposition steering system which requires no additional installation space in the steering column. The actuator for the superposition steering system is therefore arranged in the steering wheel.

A parking brake actuating device includes a rotary lever arrangement in operative connection with a compensation device providing an idle path and a restoring element for controlling the rotary lever arrangement. The rotary lever arrangement controls the engagement of a blocking member with a counter-blocking member of the parking brake arrangement. In operation, immediately after generation of braking force caused by rotation of the rotor (26) supply of electricity to the motor is turned off. After supply of electricity is turned off, however, the rotor (26) is restricted from returning to its original position due to an engagement with an engaging claw (54) via a claw wheel (50), thereby keeping the barking brake remain effective. When electricity is thereafter supplied to the motor, the rotor (26) generates rotational torque sufficiently strong to push down the engaging claw (54) for disengagement, thereby releasing the parking brake.

A cart braking device includes a swivel unit, a shaft unit and a braking unit which has a central shaft, an orientation member, a braking member and a base. The central shaft is coupled with the orientation member and has an elastic piece for moving the central shaft upward. A bottom of the orientation member has an orientation gear and a top of the braking member has a fixation gear corresponding to the orientation gear. The braking member is disposed in the base and includes two braking pads. An elastic member is disposed between the base and the braking member, and can move the braking member away from the base. When the braking pads are pressed against the wheel, the cart braking device stops the rotation of the wheel. When the orientation gear is engaged with the fixation gear, the cart braking device prevents the wheel from changing direction.

A luggage brake device includes a wheel and a control unit. The wheel includes positioning teeth, an engaging member, engaging teeth, a link axle, a link plate, a control wire. The control unit is disposed on a luggage body. The control unit includes a knob, a press button, a gear, a release block and a driving block connected with the control wire. Through the knob, the press button and the driving block of the control unit, the control wire is activated to link the engaging member with the engaging teeth to engage with the positioning teeth of the wheel so that the wheel is positioned. The present invention can be operated conveniently.

A parking lock for a vehicle having an electrical drive train including an electric machine with a rotor, a stator having a plurality of stator windings, and power electronics for controlling the electric machine, and a transmission prevents the vehicle from rolling away inadvertently. The parking lock has a mechanical component which is mechanically operatively connected to the rotor when the parking lock is operated to stop rotation of this rotor. The mechanical component has a ratchet wheel and a toothed catch. Furthermore, the parking lock has an electrical component designed such that it produces a short-circuit in the stator windings, at least temporarily, when it is intended to operate the parking lock. When the parking lock is operated, the electrical component is thus activated in a specific time interval before operation of the mechanical component. The short-circuit in the stator windings produces a severe braking torque, which brakes the rotor. The time interval between activation of the electrical component and the activation of the mechanical component allows the rotor to be braked before the mechanical component is activated. In this way, the high torque peaks which occur when the rotor is being stopped are reduced by the electrical component, so that a mechanical component of relatively small size may be used.

According to an operation of a shift lever to parking range, a cam member at a parking rod comes in between a parking pole and a support member, and the parking pole swings so that a pawl portion of the parking rod can engage with a parking gear. A concave holding portion to hold the support member is formed at a transmission case. The support member comprises a first cylindrical outer face having a first radius R1 which is supported in a concave inner face the concave holding portion to rotate in a specified range and a second cylindrical outer face (cam-contact portion) having a second radius R2 which contacts a cam member. A front variable speed drive device is configured and arranged to electrically operate driving of a front derailleur by a shift cable. The front variable speed drive device comprises a case member, a motor drive mechanism, and a cable linking portion. The case member is mounted on a hanger portion of a bicycle frame. The motor drive mechanism is mounted on the case member, and has a revolving shaft. The cable linking portion has a retaining portion configured and arranged to retain a first end of the shift cable. The cable linking portion is rotatably mounted on the revolving shaft, and has a hypothetical arm line extending in the direction perpendicular to the shift cable from the center of rotation with a length of the hypothetical arm line changing depending on the rotation phase. Thus, motor torque required for shifting gears is reduced with a simple structure.

A brake mechanism for a stroller includes an axle, a wheel and at least one brake fixing seat disposed at an inner side of the wheel. The brake fixing seat includes a brake assembly and a fixing seat. The brake assembly includes a pedal assembly and a brake member. The brake member has at least one abutting portion and at least one brake arm. The brake assembly includes a pushing member for pushing the abutting portion. A brake hub is disposed at the inner side of the wheel. A plurality of recesses is formed on the brake hub and arranged compactly. The axle passes through the pedal assembly, the brake member, and the fixing seat. The pedal assembly is used to drive the pushing member to push the abutting portion and the brake member moves toward the brake hub until the brake arm extends into the recesses.

A braking system designed to be an integral part of a shopping cart. The braking system consists of a hand-operated brake that is gravity actuated and normally engaged. The user disengages the braking system to move the shopping cart, preferably by pushing a primary handle of the cart. The braking system is also disengaged when the shopping cart is nested with other shopping carts to allow multiple carts to be moved without the brakes being engaged. The mechanical link from the handle to the brake is enclosed within the frame to reduce potential damage to the mechanism. The mechanical link consists of a hand-activated handle that is pushed down to disengage the brake, and when the handle is not depressed, the handle raises by gravity and applies the brake.

An engagement wheel is mounted so that it can rotate relative to the drive shaft of a drive train in a motor vehicle. To allow rotational driving, the engagement wheel is operatively connected with an element that cannot be rotated relative to the drive shaft by at least one elastically deformable element mounted in the torque path between the engagement wheel and the rotationally fixed element. The chair is particularly useful for transporting an injured or disabled person (who is of a heavy weight) up or down a flight of stairs. The chair lift is manually driven by reciprocating hand levers operated by an attendant. A ratchet and pawl mechanism in combination with a brake system, which is continuously set / locked, allows movement of the chair only when the chair is being propelled up a flight of stairs and when an attendant purposefully actuates a hand lever to release the brakes and allow movement of the transporter.

A brake system for a medical device, such as a cot, stretcher, bed, wheeled chair, or other medical device, includes a pin and toothed wheel arrangement wherein the selective insertion of a pin between teeth on the toothed wheel brakes the system, while the removal of the pin from between the teeth unbrakes the system. Multiple pins may be used with a single toothed wheel wherein the pins are offset from each other relative to the teeth so that, when one pin is inserted between teeth, the other pin is at least partially blocked from being inserted between the teeth. This effectively increases the resolution of the toothed wheel. The toothed wheel may be axially spaced from wheel(s) that roll on the ground. When so spaced, the toothed wheel, and all of the braking components associated therewith, may be enclosed within a housing separate from the rolling wheel(s).
