The method is characterized by comprising the steps of collecting quantitative air to be detected, and enabling the collected air to pass through an elastic filter membrane, wherein the filter membrane is capable of collecting PM2.5 of the sample air, a light conductive sheet is adhered to the central position of the lower part of the elastic filter membrane, and the filter membrane arranged along the transverse direction deforms downwards under the action of gravity in the PM2.5 collection process; arranging two metal plates at certain height under the filter membrane, wherein the distance between the metal plates is slightly smaller than the width of the metal sheet; enabling one ends of the two metal plates to be respectively connected into an alarm circuit; and after the filter membrane is in contact with the metal plates, alarming to indicate that the content of PM 2.5 in the air to be detected exceeds the standard. After the method is adopted, alarming is carried out when the concentration of inhalable PM in the air in a room exceeds the limiting value under the condition of daily standard; furthermore, the method has the advantages of being simple in implementation, low in cost, sensitive and reliable in detection, etc.
