A pivoting cage cargo is formed of opposing gate assemblies mounted on the rearwardmost D-pillar of a pick-up truck and movable from a folded, collapsed storage position against the respective side walls of the cargo box into multiple selectable operative configurations. The pivoting cage cargo retainer can be positioned in two different transversely extending positions that span the cargo bed when the gate assemblies are connected together. In one transverse position, the coupled gate assemblies cooperate with a lowered tailgate to provide a bed extension function. The other transverse position spans across the cargo bed to provide a divider function. Each gate assembly is also positionable into a storage container configuration that defines a small cargo retention area adjacent the side wall for the retention of small objects, such as grocery bags. A truck bed extension is provided for extending the useful length of a pickup truck bed. The truck bed extension includes a pair of transversely spaced sidewalls interconnected by a spacing member. The sidewalls each have a forward margin and a lower margin. A combination bed extension/ramp structure for attachment to a sleeve-hitch of a truck, the structure comprising a non-revolving-hitch attachment member; a rear rectangular panel pivotally connected to the non-revolving-hitch attachment member to pivot around a first substantially horizontal axis from a first substantially upright position to a second position, wherein the rear panel is acting as a ramp between a rear panel-ground contact point and the plane of the non-revolving-hitch attachment member; a front rectangular panel pivotally connected to the rear panel at an intermediate point whereby when the rear panel is in the first position, the front panel is positioned substantially horizontal; whereby when the rear panel pivots from the first position to the second position, the front panel pivots relative to the rear panel around a second substantially horizontal axis and moves from the horizontal position to an inclined position that complements the inclination of the rear panel in the second position.

A truck bed extension apparatus including a working table movably coupled to a truck bed. The working table is laterally moveable between a retracted position and an extended position. In the retracted position, the working table is entirely within the truck bed. Conversely, in the extended position, the working table extends from adjacent wheel wells of the truck bed to past a tailgate thereof. A compartment formed between the working table of the truck bed extension apparatus and a bottom wall of the truck bed receives a drawer therein. The drawer may be slideably coupled to the working table of the truck bed extension apparatus if desired. The drawer is laterally moveable between a closed position and a fully-open position. An operation of the drawer is independent of an operation of the working table.

A safety light system is incorporated into the tailgate of a pickup truck. The safety light is incorporated into the tailgate and is illuminated when the tailgate is in a lowered or horizontal position and when either the ignition switch is in the on position, the parking lights are turned on, or both. The safety light can be positioned either on the top edge-rail of the tailgate, as a slide-out unit placed in a pocket with the top edge-rail of the tailgate, or as a rotating assembly incorporated into the outer sheet metal of the tailgate. Additional safety lights can be incorporated into the sides of the tailgate assembly. An optional feature includes the ability to pull the safety light out from the tailgate and secure the safety light to an object that extends beyond the length of the pickup bed. Alternatively, the safety lights can be installed in or on a bed extension apparatus. The safety light can additionally include the features of a standard taillight, comprising brake lights and or turn signal indicators. Alternates include reflective tape and a pullout feature from other locations. A pullout section can also provide a step for accessing the bed.

The invention relates to a downhole directional hole bedding guided drilling system and method based on formation lithology identification. The lithology while-drilling identification of a drilling stratum is achieved through a direct parameter comparison method and an orientation radiating rose diagram comparison method according to coal measure stratum lithology while-drilling identification criteria and the stratum natural radiation value, measured by a coal measure stratum physical property parameter while-drilling measurement device in real time, of the near-bit position. By combination with measurement of a drilling track, precise space positioning of a practical drilling track relative to a target stratum is achieved, and bases are provided for controlling a downhole directional hole to do bedding extension in the target stratum in the preset direction; the technical problems that an existing underground coal mine directional drilling technology can only conduct drilling according to the space geometric positioning of the drilling track, cannot distinguish strata and is poor in drilling efficiency and low in target stratum elongation are solved; and through precise bedding directional drilling of the downhole directional hole, an effective means is provided for improving the drilling construction efficiency and the utilization effect, verifying the stratum geological information of a mine lot and ensuring drilling construction safety.

A vehicle tailgate system is provided, the system comprising: A primary arch, the primary arch being hingably coupled to a vehicle bed of said vehicle; An actuator whereby the primary arch is rotated between a fully deployed roll bar position, and a fully stowed position; A channel, configured to receive the primary arch disposed in the pickup vehicle bed, the channel running down a first side of the bed, between exterior and interior walls of the first side, along the bottom of the pick up vehicle bed beneath the floor of the vehicle bed, and up a second side of the bed between exterior and interior walls of the second side of the vehicle bed. The bumper can be lowered to allow the arch to pass. The bumper mechanism may also include accommodation for the tailgate. The moving bumper can also lower and lift a trailer hitch or work with the tailgate to create a lift gate.

An agricultural bale accumulator (100) includes a load bed (113) and a load bed extension module (102). The load bed extension module (102) includes an extension table (104) pivotally connected to a side (124) of a load bed (113) by a hinge mechanism (122). The hinge mechanism (122) permits the load bed extension module (102) to move relative to the load bed (113) between a stowed position, perpendicular to the load bed (113), and an unstowed position, co-planar with a load bed (113) and adjacent to the side (124) of the load bed (113). The agricultural bale accumulator (100) has a first lateral width dimension (160) when the first extension table (104) is in the stowed position to provide a first bale accumulating capacity and a first bale discharging capacity. The agricultural bale accumulator (100) has a second lateral width dimension (161), greater than the first lateral width dimension (160), when the first extension table (104) is in the unstowed position to provide a second bale accumulating capacity and a second bale discharging capacity, greater than the first bale accumulating capacity and the second bale discharging capacity, respectively. An adjustable cargo support apparatus for use with vehicles having a hitch receiver socket includes an elongated arm engageable at one end thereof inside such hitch receiver socket, a dual sleeve member, a tee-shaped cargo support beam having a riser slidingly engageable inside one of the open-ended sleeves of the dual sleeve member, and at least one releasable position locking means for restraining movement of the sleeve relative to the elongated arm. The dual sleeve beam member further includes an elongated connecting beam, a first open-ended sleeve having a portion of a side wall fixedly attached to one end of the connecting beam at a predetermined angle, and a second open-ended sleeve fixedly attached at an opposing end of the connecting beam, wherein an axis of the second sleeve is substantially perpendicular to that of the first sleeve.

A stepgate that increases the contained storage area of a vehicle and utilizes the tailgate as a stepgate to aid in lifting objects to the storage area of the vehicle. The stepgate adjusts horizontally, whereby this motion allows the stepgate to clear features of the vehicle as well as adjusting the position of an extension platform. The extension platform would adjust horizontally in conjunction with the tailgate to effectively increase the contained storage area of the vehicle. The stepgate, lift feature utilizes the tailgate as the lifting platform. The stepgate is designed where a bracket contacts the ground maintaining the lifting platform slightly above ground level. This allows the integration of the tailgate into the stepgate without subjecting the tailgate to any damage. The design further allows the tailgate to operate, function and remove in the same manner as the original vehicle. Options include removable coupling between the extension platform and the stepgate and extensions for the lifting platform. The stepgate is designed in a manner, which does not change the original appearance of the vehicle.

The lathe provided in accordance with the invention is designed to address the needs of today's bowl and spindle turners. In an exemplary embodiment, the lathe of the invention comes equipped with a 2 hp DC BALDOR motor and a state-of-the-art 3 hp MINARIK pulse-width modulated (PWM) motor drive. It has a continuous power rating of 2 hp and an effective intermittent power rating of nearly 3 hp. The lathe has three speed ranges: 0 to 600 rpm for large bowl turning, 0 to 1200 rpm for standard bowl turning and 0 to 2000 for high-speed bowl turning and finishing. A number of accessory bed extensions are available along with an outboard tool rest and tailstock.

A flip door or plate member for use with a trailer having pivotable doors is disclosed. The plate member is pivotable about a bed extension. The plate member pivots from an initial position where the doors may be closed and locked to a second position that where the doors may be opened. After the doors are opened, the plate member may be pivoted back to its initial position allowing a continuous bed extension.

An integrated extend bed assembly for a vehicle is provided. The extended bed assembly includes a bed assembly that is mounted at a rear of the vehicle and a bed extension that is slidably fitted into the bed assembly. The bed extension is extendable rearward of the bed assembly in a linear motion. Additionally, sliding members are mounted to the bed assembly and the bed extension to support the bed extension in an extended position.

Woodturners who make bowls frequently find that the unoccupied tailstock limits the path of the tool handle. The normal solution is to manually remove the tailstock from the lathe and set it on the floor or a work bench. Tailstocks can be heavy and manual removal and reinstallation might be needed several times during the production of a single piece. The invention provides a means to get the tailstock out of the turners way via a short bed extension that is pivotally mounted on the end of the lathe bed. To use it, the tail stock is slid back onto the extension, a hold down is released, and the tailstock is tilted away from the user. After tilting, a second set of ways lines up with the existing bed, allowing full use of the additional length afforded by the invention. The invention allows the tailstock to be easily returned to its normal position.

A truck bed extension device (10) for use with a truck (12) having a cargo bed structure, wherein the device (10) allows for carrying items which extend beyond or overhang the bed structure. The device (10) comprises a deck (24); a support structure (26); and a signaling system (28). The deck (24) is horizontally adjustable relative to the bed structure so as to allow for achieving a desired spacing therebetween. The deck (24) is also vertically offset when unloaded so as to be substantially flush when loaded. Because the device (10) or the load carried thereon may obstruct viewing of the truck's existing brake and turn signals, the signaling system (28) repeats these signals where they are more visible. A second embodiment of the device (110) provides a hitch structure (170) for coupling the truck with a trailer via the device (110).

An add-on extender for a pickup truck having a bed and a tailgate with a pair of sides and a top. The extender selectively extends both the bed and the tailgate of the pickup truck, and permanently mounts onto the tailgate of the pickup truck so as not to have to be removed when not in use. The extender includes a pair of side panels and a rear panel. The pair of side panels pivotally attach to the pair of sides of the tailgate of the pickup truck, respectively, so as to have a non-operational folded position and an operational unfolded position that extends the bed of the pickup truck. The rear panel pivotally attaches to the top of the tailgate of the pickup truck so as to have a non-operational folded position and an operational unfolded position that extends the bed and the tailgate of the pickup truck.
