Method and apparatus for generating recurring events in a calendar/schedule system

InactiveUS6272074B1Storage requirement is minimizedMinimization needsVisual indicationOptical signalsInfinite numberData mining
An electronic calendaring and scheduling capability that minimizes storage requirements. Repetitive calendar events are stored as single entries using an expression language. The expression language provides an ability for expressing how often the event recurs. Thus, the days on which the event occurs are computed from an expression stored in a repetitive event. Further, the expression language provides the ability to identify exceptions and to define an infinite number of recurring events from the original recurrent event definition. Events are generated by obtaining a recurrency expression of a first event. The recurrency expression is converted to one or more recurring dates. A beginning date of the first event is also obtained. Using one or more recurring dates and the beginning date, one or more second events are generated in response. The present invention provides the first event and the one or more second events to the users in one or more calendars. The present invention further utilizes a recurrency expression including one or more anti-event expressions. Anti-events have the same format as the recurring event. The anti-event expressions are used to generate one or more exception dates. The exception dates cancel at least one of the recurring dates.

Extruded profile filter framing

A framed filter media comprising a filter media having a fluid inlet face and a fluid outlet face with peripheral sidewalls. The peripheral sidewalls are attached to a strip frame by an adhesive-potting compound. The continuous strip frame is formed into three or more (up to an infinite number if the sidewall sections(s) is formed into a circular filter frame) sidewall sections having a substantially flat sidewall and at least two projecting filter retaining tabs which form a channel on a first face of the sidewall section for containing the adhesive potting compound. The sidewall sections are separated by corner notches extending through the retaining tabs at least to the substantially flat sidewalls. Two terminal sidewall sections meet to form a seam such that the sidewall sections circumscribe the filter media peripheral sidewalls. The continuous strip frame is formed by extruding a continuous strip frame blank comprising at least a substantially flat sidewall and at least two projecting filter retaining tabs forming a continuous channel on a first face of the continuous strip frame blank. The filter retaining tabs are then notched to form corner notches which corner notches extend at least to the substantially flat sidewalls creating sidewall section between the corner notches and optionally scoring first and/or second faces of the sidewall portions to form living hinges. The continuous strip frame blank is further cut into discrete strip frame blanks.

Filter cross brace

The invention is related to a framed filter media comprising a pleated filter media having a fluid inlet face and a fluid outlet face with peripheral sidewalls. The peripheral sidewalls of the pleated filter are attached to the frame generally by an adhesive. The frame is preferably a flexible strip frame formed into three or more (up to an infinite number if the sidewall sections(s) is formed into a circular filter frame) sidewall sections each having a substantially flat sidewall and at least two projecting filter retaining tabs which form a flange on a first face of the sidewall section for containing the filter along its peripheral sidewalls and any adhesive. A cross brace is also inserted within the filter retaining tabs which fits into at least one pleat of the framed pleated filter media. The cross brace fits into the space formed by the pleated filter media but is not in continuous contact with the filter media forming the pleat. The cross brace can be flexible and has end keys or projections for insertion into the filter frame flanges and attachment to the sidewall sections and/or the flange. In a particular embodiment, the cross brace has a continuous non-linear profile with an internal profiled groove with a mating surface, for insertion and locking of removable end keys or other items, such as handles and labels, which removable items have a profile that mates with, or locks the mating surface of the profiled groove.

Multi-positional stand and under cabinet mount for a tablet computer

A multi-positional stand and under-cabinet mount for a tablet computer comprising a mounting plate, a hinge member, a base member, a hinge pin, 2 cam-actuated handles, a base mount and an attachment knob. The mounting plate can be temporarily coupled to the center of the back of a tablet computer with hook-and-loop (or similar) two-part, fastening material (of prior art). The mounting plate can be rotationally attached to the flat face on the top front of the hinge member allowing the attached tablet computer to rotate. The bottom of the hinge member can be pivotally attached to the front of the base member with the hinge pin oriented horizontally allowing the recline angle of said tablet computer to be adjusted. The angular position of the hinge member and base member can be locked in place, in any one of an infinite number of angular positions within a range, by the manipulation of the 2 cam-actuated handles. The hinge member can fold down on top of the base member and the cam actuated handles can fold towards the base member for a compact, portable configuration. The base mount can attach to the bottom of a cabinet or shelf with screws. The stand can be temporarily mounted to the base mount (in an upside-down position) with an attachment knob and can be manipulated, touch, rotated, tilted left or right, or forward and back, or fully retracted underneath the cabinet or shelf.

Safe data-outsourcing machine learning and data analysis method

The invention discloses a safe data-outsourcing machine learning and data analysis method. A random tree is transformed in a homoenergetic mode into properties of a binary tree; a trained decision tree prediction model is transformed into the binary tree, the binary tree is induced into a special polynomial of which a shape is a sum of an infinite number of multiplier items, and each piece of data in the model is encrypted by an RSA and is uploaded to a cloud platform; then data which needs to be decided is also encrypted by the RSA and is uploaded to the cloud platform; the encrypted data of the model and the encrypted data which needs to be decided are correspondingly computed by utilizing the multiplication homomorphic encryption property of the RSA to obtain a ciphertext result of each multiplier item; and the results are returned to a data user for decryption so as to obtain a decision result. By transforming the binary tree into the polynomial, a decision tree which originally can be implemented by various computations is transformed into the decision tree which can be implemented by one computation, so that the machine learning process of the decision tree can be rapidly completed by using a multiplication homomorphic algorithm, a complex degree of carrying out such decision tree machine learning algorithm on a ciphertext is greatly reduced, and computing efficiency is promoted.

Modular workbench

InactiveUS20050039644A1Easy to adjustMinimize material contactFurniture partsWork benchesButt jointModularity
A modular workbench assembly is presented that provides the user with an infinite number of potential workbench configurations with varying quantities of lower shelf sets, drawer sets, and upper shelf sets. This invention allows economical continual workbench lengthwise expansion by featuring a unique leg assembly and a unique upper shelf assembly that permit a specified number of dimensional lumber pieces to span and fasten to its top surface, or allows the fastening of twice as many dimensional lumber pieces forming a butt joint at the central vertical axis of both the leg assembly and the upper shelf assembly. The leg vertical member of U-shaped cross section features a pair of outward and opposite lengthwise protruding flanges and features a pair of adjacent lateral mounting surfaces so that lateral members, lengthwise members and upward members can be installed simultaneously using a unique, common interlocking fastening scheme which prevents the members from becoming loose under a vibration environment. A unique upper shelf assembly is presented that snaps into place on a leg assembly and is fully adjustable. The upper shelf assembly permits installation of additional structural members onto the leg assembly without removal of the upper shelf assembly from the leg assembly. A universal drawer rail assembly is presented that enables quick and sturdy assembly that is fully interchangeable as either a left drawer rail or a right drawer rail.
