Each linkage assembly has two legs connected by a hinge to allow the linkage assembly to spread apart, with one of the legs having a free end which is connected to the at least one of the plates, and a coupler is connected to the hinge. The main switch conveying apparatus for a vacuum circuit breaker installed in a cage having electrical load and source terminals, the main switch conveying apparatus includes a carriage for conveying the main switch loaded on the carriage in such a manner that the main switch is coupled to or separated from the terminals, a carriage actuating assembly including a lead screw for providing a driving force to move the carriage and provided with braking recesses at the predetermined positions on the lead screw in such a manner that the carriage is stopped at a test position, a safety position and a run position of the main switch, and a conveying nut fixed on the carriage to mesh with the lead screw and movable together with the carriage relatively to the lead screw, a girder assembly detachably supported on both front sidewalls of the cage for supporting one end of the lead screw to rotate, a brake assembly installed on the carriage for stopping the carriage by locking the lead screw at positions of the braking recesses; and a brake releasing assembly for releasing the locking of the brake assembly. The carriage having the main switch loaded thereon moves along the lead screw, while allowing the main switch to be positioned in the safety, test and run positions of the main switch. The user easily recognizes the position of the main switch. If the main switch conveying apparatus is inversely operated, the movement of the main circuit is stopped so that the main circuit is precisely and rapidly moved.

An exhaust system for exhausting gases and molten debris caused by an electric arc within a switchgear. The exhaust system includes a switchgear having lower and upper compartments and an exhaust unit externally mounted to the switchgear. A wall panel of the switchgear includes blow out panels coinciding with openings in the lower compartment and corresponding ventilation flaps in a top surface of the exhaust unit to exhaust gas from the lower compartment out the blow out panels in a vertical direction, exiting through the flaps. The upper compartment includes ventilation flaps for exhausting gas in a vertical direction directly through the flaps and optionally through side-mounted blow out panels that communicate with the vertical vent path to the flaps in the top of the exhaust unit. A bus compartment in the exhaust unit includes a vent path to flaps in the top of the exhaust unit for exhausting gas produced by bus arcing.

The module stacked switch cabinet has the advantages that various function units can be assembled while the various branch modules of a cabinet body are assembled, and accordingly the difficulty in assembling components inside the cabinet body can be greatly reduced.

Disclosed is a racking mechanism for a drawout circuit breaker including a cross shaft movably positioned in an enclosure and at least one input link in operable communication with the cross shaft via at least one connecting link. At least one racking cam is movably positioned in the enclosure and is in operable communication with the input link. Each racking cam has at least one cam slot receptive of a portion of the circuit breaker. Movement of the cross shaft about an axis of the cross shaft is capable of moving the at least one racking cam from an open position toward a closed position with the portion of the circuit breaker disposed in the at least one cam slot, thereby securing the circuit breaker in the enclosure and the at least one racking cam is in the closed position. A method for securing a circuit breaker in an enclosure and a circuit breaker assembly are also disclosed.
