Blood treatment catheter assembly

A blood treatment catheter pre-assembled with a stiffening tube is provided. The catheter includes a withdrawal lumen and a supply lumen each having distal split tube unjoined segments and an intermediate joined segment. The split tube segment of the supply lumen is provided with a sidewall aperture. The stiffening tube extends through the withdrawal split tip tube, out the distal end of the withdrawal tube, through the aperture of the supply split tip tube and through the split tip supply tube distal of the aperture, out the distal end of the split tip supply tube. When the stiffening tube is positioned inside the catheter, the aperture is adjacent to the withdrawal tube distal opening so as to minimize stiffening tube exposure and to provide a smooth exterior profile. In a preferred design, the tubes and their lumens, over their common length, are semi-circular to provide a circular profile for the catheter.

Network system for secure communication

In a network system (100) for wireless communication an enrollee (110) accesses the network via a configurator (130). The enrollee acquires a data pattern (140) that represents a network public key via an out-of-band channel by a sensor (113). The enrollee derives a first shared key based on the network public key and the first enrollee private key, and encodes a second enrollee public key using the first shared key, and generates a network access request. The configurator also derives the first shared key, and verifies whether the encoded second enrollee public key was encoded by the first shared key, and, if so, generates security data and cryptographically protects data using a second shared key, and generates a network access message. The enrollee processor also derives the second shared key and verifies whether the data was cryptographically protected and, if so, engages the secure communication based on the second enrollee private key and the security data.

Board to Board Connector Assembly

A board to board connector assembly includes a male board connector, a female board connector, and an engagement structure for effectively engaging the male board connector with the female board connector. This assures effective engagement between the female and male board connectors even in the case of insufficient contact area therebetween, such that height of engagement between the female and male board connectors can be reduced desirably, making the board to board connector assembly well applicable to various miniaturized electronic devices. Moreover, the board to board connector assembly of the invention includes a plurality of conductors for simultaneously transmitting various signals, such that the number of connectors used in the electronic devices can be reduced. This also allows the board to board connector assembly to be readily applied to various miniaturized electronic devices.
