An apparatus for supplying power for a vehicle includes a first battery, a second battery, a switching device, a monitoring device and a control device. The first battery is electrically connected to load devices which are mounted on the vehicle. The second battery serves as a backup power source. The switching device switches the first and second batteries. The monitoring device monitors remaining capacity for each of the first and second batteries. When the control device determines that the remaining capacity of the second battery is less than the remaining capacity of the first battery based on information monitored by the monitoring device, the control device controls the switching device so as to conduct switching of the first and second batteries.

The middle-position calibrating method comprises the following steps: S1, detecting whether the whole vehicle state, including tire pressure values of tires, and toe-in values of front wheels, meet requirements or not before starting an engine, and besides, detecting whether a handwheel, a steering mechanism and a steering wheel are positioned at the middle position of the whole vehicle; S2, if middle-position calibration is not performed on the electric power-assisted steering tube column, or the middle-position calibration for the electric power-assisted steering tube column is not finished, executing S3, wherein an indication module continuously flashes for indication; S3, comparing standard middle-position information with middle-position calibration information of the electric power-assisted steering tube column, which is detected in real time, if the middle-position calibration information of the electric power-assisted steering tube column, which is detected in real time, is not matched with the standard middle-position information, performing middle-position calibration correcting operation; and S4, if the electric power-assisted steering tube column does not need to continue middle-position calibration, indicating that the middle-position calibration of the electric power-assisted steering tube column is correct by the indication module. The middle-position calibrating method disclosed by the invention is convenient and easy to operate.

A method of learning an ethanol concentration for an a fuel flexible vehicle (FFV) enables an ethanol concentration to be learned even when an oxygen sensor of FFV that is not equipped with an ethanol sensor is malfunctioning, thereby suppressing the occurrence of trouble and stalling of an engine and allowing the stable operation of the engine. A vehicle power supply device includes a first DC/DC converter, a DC/DC controller, a second DC/DC converter, and a vehicle controller. The regulator case accommodates a regulator substrate for adjusting the output voltage and a heat sink. On one surface of the heat sink the regulator substrate is mounted. The cooling fin part has plural cooling fins bonded to the other surface of the heat sink. The cooling fin part and the heat sink are made of a same material of a superior thermal expansion coefficient, such as copper or copper alloy.
