Abstract

The invention discloses a pharmaceutical composition relaxing uterine smooth muscles. The pharmaceutical composition is prepared with a total phenolic acid component of chuanxiong rhizome as a main active component combined with medically acceptable minor ingredients or auxiliary components. The invention further discloses a method of extracting the total phenolic acid component of chuanxiong rhizome. The method comprises the steps of 1, adding 65-95% ethyl alcohol to chuanxiong rhizome powder, conducting ultrasonic extraction twice for 30-55 min each time, concentrating extraction liquid, andobtaining a crude product A of the total phenolic acid component of chuanxiong rhizome, wherein the solid-liquid ratio of chuanxiong rhizome and ethyl alcohol is 1:(7.5-14) g / mL; 2, dissolving the crude product A in ammonium hydroxide, adjusting the pH value to be 2-3, and conducting extraction and concentration to obtain the total phenolic acid component of chuanxiong rhizome B.
