Confined space entry device and safety line for fall arrest

A confined space entry device has modularized components which allow the device to be readily reconfigured. In particular, the extension arm of the device is removably secured to one leg of an elbow, while a post or mast is removably secured to the other end of the elbow. The other end of the mast is removably secured to a base which supports the confined space entry device. In one version of the invention, the device includes tubular members made of a polymer composite material. In another version of the invention, the elbow is asymmetric about a central axis and is formed of cast aluminum. The device can include sets of different-length elongated members which can be interchanged with elongated members secured within the device. In yet another version of the invention, the device incorporates a safety line connected to a lower end of the davit assembly or member and extending to an upper end of the davit assembly or member. The safety line should have a tensile strength equal or greater than to the dynamic rating of the post; should the member break above the lower end, the safety line would arrest the fall of a worker or person secured to the confined space device.

Fire suppression agent storage container lifting and transportation device

A cart which is provided with lifting jacks (26) and wheels on casters (28) providing a means of vertically lifting and transporting a fire suppression agent storage container in an upright position. The apparatus is designed to lift from the base of the container without requiring a lifting element to be placed beneath said fire suppression agent storage container. The base of the container is coupled to the apparatus by the use of clamping frames (24). Once the clamping frames (24) are fully engaged around the container base, the lifting jacks (26) can be operated to lift the container. Once the container is lifted, the container can then be easily moved by rolling entire apparatus along a surface by way of the wheels on casters (28).

Rack for containers

A rack for securing containers includes a plurality of bays into which one or more containers are received. An expandable, inflatable chamber is disposed adjacent each bay and selectively expands into the chamber to secure the containers within the bay. When installed on a vehicle, a pump may be activated automatically based upon a vehicle operating state or whenever the door is closed. Activation of the pump inflates the expandable chambers, thereby locking containers in place in the bays. This prevents movement and vibration and reduces damage to the bottles during transportation

Safe tank

The present invention relates to a tank holder system that does not substantially restrict alternative uses of truck bed space when the tank holder system is not in use. The tank holder system includes a tank holder and a base, which receives the tank holder and secures the tank holder during transportation. The tank holder includes an arcuate cradle formed to accept cylindrically-shaped tanks and fasteners that secure such tanks in the arcuate cradle. When the tank holder is not in use, it can be removed from the base. The base remains attached to the truck bed. This allows the space in the truck bed to be used for alternative purposes when the tank holder is disengaged from the base, while allowing the tank holder to be quickly and easily re-engaged to the base.
