The invention relates to a purifying method for coking ammonia distilling wastewater, which mainly solves the technical problem of influence on running and exhaust of subsequent biochemical device ofhigh content of ammonia and high content of oil in the ammonia distilling wastewater. The purifying method adopts the technical scheme with the following steps of pretreating the ammonia distilling wastewater of a coking factory by an adsorbent A, removing one part of tar in the residual ammonia water, sending the ammonia distilling wastewater after tar removal into an adsorption tower filled witha microcrystalline adsorbent B, adsorbing the ammonia and oil in the residual ammonia water, sending the wastewater after adsorbing into a wastewater biochemical tank, regenerating the adsorbent B after adsorption saturation by nitrogen gas or steam with temperature of 50 to 400 DEG C, and continuing to use, so that the technical problems can be well solved. The method is suitable for the industrialized production of ammonia removal of coking wastewater.
